The Story of Summer, which brought the life of Yaz who grew up in the orphanage to the screen after finding her mother and father, and attracting attention with its different scenario, made an assertive entrance to the screens in 2015. The Story of Summer started as a summer series, but when it did not get the expected rating rates, an early final decision was made by Kanal D, where it was broadcast. The screen life of the series only lasted 13 episodes.

STORY:

The Story of Summer, who grew up in the orphanage and whose greatest motivation is to be liberated and stand on her own feet, is taken early because it causes problems in the dormitory. It happens at a time when things get messed up. Yaz and Ekim, which suddenly found themselves trapped in the corner; With Caner and Ferhat, they begin to mobilize their plans to escape abroad, to Germany. Meanwhile, an event that Yaz did not know or could not see took place in the famous “Don’t Lose Your Hope” program of Umut Erpek, which her close friend Ekim watches every morning and Yaz doesn’t like it even a little bit. A nurse calling Umut Erpek live tells Umut that her daughter, whom she was stillborn 18 years ago, is actually alive and that this girl, whose name is Yaz, was given to child protection. Umut, who goes after his daughter, whom he lost during childbirth in the past, learns that his daughter, who had a one-night stand with Mert when he was only 18, was shown dead by Mert’s father Doğu. In this process, hard confrontations take place for Umut, who has kept his hate alive for years and encountered Mert, who left him halfway while pregnant.

Mert, on the other hand, is not a successful surgeon as his mother Nevra and his father Doğu, who sleeps in a deep sleep in a coma, but continues his life by making music, buying and selling motorcycle parts in his home-workshop in the industry. At the beginning of Mert, there is a trouble because of beating the bar owners that he cannot get money after work, and when he goes to ask for financial support from his mother, he confronts this fact that was hidden in the past and he was unaware of it. But unlike Umut, Mert cannot accept being a parent, especially at his current age.
On the other hand, Yaz, Caner, Ferhat and Ekim, dreaming of getting away from the country and being liberated, embark on a dangerous job for their plans and decide to steal money from the school’s safe. But things do not go on as they wish, and Yaz meets her mother and father, whom she dreamed of for 18 years.

While Yaz dreamed of being alone and free, she suddenly saw Umut Erpek, the television face she had seen on TV for years and never liked. Seeing her mother Umut Erpek and Mert Aladağ in front of him, Yaz falls like a bomb on the family who did not have this at first. When he realizes that his mother is a woman whom his mother does not love at all, and that his father is Mert, a man who has nothing to do with his fatherhood, he will first clash with them and then do his best to establish this family. Yaz, who tries to teach her parents to be parents, will remain between her main circle, Ekim, Ferhat, Caner, and Ege, the handsome boy of the university she has just entered, and her friends, and will have serious cultural conflicts in her new university life.
