The new-born father Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ was on the cover of the May issue of L’Officiel magazine. In an interview with the magazine, the handsome actor also answered questions about his private life, especially his wife Başak Dizer and their son Kurt Efe.
Noting that he is emotional, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ said, “The greatest comfort in my life is Başak. She always takes her decisions logically. Başak drew attention with her words. She is the person who balances me in life”.
The famous actor, who experienced the excitement of fatherhood for the first time with the birth of his son Kurt Efe in the past weeks, explained his feelings about his son with these words; “They say, ‘Men cannot enter into a sense of paternity before their children are born’. It was the opposite for me. Is it possible that I cannot have that feeling while Başak’s belly is growing before my eyes?
I felt the pain she suffered in my own body. Something magical. I’m the anxious and worried type. I thought being a father would make me a more anxious person, but since I got the gospel, all my worries are gone.”
Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ expressed his love for his wife Başak Dizer with these words. “I learned to love Başak in a different way every day. Because loving too much is not enough. Loving a person begins when you strive for her happiness. When I feel the happiness in her eyes, my stomach is full. This is such a thing.”
Speaking about his relationship, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ said, “Opening up space; nourishes the comfort, well-being, love and admiration of the whole relationship. It is something that always sheds water, always sprouting and greening up. The most important thing is to support what she has done, her choices. Otherwise, everyone is getting married. You are getting married… The main thing is to be able to continue.”
Stating that fame seems unimportant to him, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ said, “Basak is also very surprised that I am not in the mood. She thinks that my body remained in this time, and my soul remained in the 70s and 80s. The culture I acquired in Adana is very important. I was a quiet kid, but we used to fight eye to eye when necessary.
I have never planned anything in my life. Maybe luck, maybe I was in an advantageous position because of my physique, but I was in no way part of the order. Fame seems unimportant. I can’t split the atom. I make movies and TV series. Acting and fame take up five percent of my life.
Sometimes I can become bigger than the biggest ocean. Sometimes I can turn into the raging river in the world. Sometimes, I am like a very calm lake where you can see the wave that would emerge from the vibration of a fly if it lands.”
