The events that took place around the story of a young girl caught between the love of two brothers were told in the TV series A Tale Of Istanbul, shot in Istanbul. Locking the viewers on ATV screens between 2003 and 2005, the series managed to become one of the unforgettable Turkish TV series with its excellent city views, urban story and music.
STORY:
Two houses, two worlds. One big love. A large mansion in a huge garden in Istanbul. Noble and wealthy owners of the mansion. PLACES:
The shooting of A Tale Of Istanbul was made in Istanbul. Finally, the mansion, which was screened as the home of Nihan and her family in the TV series Endless Love, was used as the mansion of the Arhan family in the series A Tale Of Istanbul. The building belonging to Vehbi Koç was located in İstinye, Yeniköy. In addition to the main building of the mansion, which was enchanted by the Bosphorus view, its large garden and outbuilding were also the main spaces of the series. The tree in the garden was on the mind of the audience by climbing over Esma and watching the İstanbul Bosphorus.
The school scenes of Esma, played by Ahu Türkpençe in the series, were filmed in the building on the Bosphorus in Galatasaray University. Esma, who was first a student and then an assistant at the university, was studying at Galatasaray University, which was established in one of the Feriye Palaces on the Bosphorus. The filming took place at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Communication, and Esma’s room, who was an assistant, was actually used as the faculty dean’s room. In the series, Esma’s school friends played the roles of Galatasaray University Communication Community students.
ARC Holding headquarters was one of the first venues that appeared in the eyes of the audience when an Istanbul Tale series was mentioned. The historical texture of the building was also penetrating the atmosphere of the series during the shooting in the historical Ottoman Bank building in Beyoğlu Galata, which is used as Salt today.
The Italian city of Rome hosted the overseas scenes where Selim and Esma got married. For the couple’s romantic riverside vacation, Şile – Ağva was chosen as the venue, and Acqua Verde, one of the famous hotels of the region, became the venue of the series. In the finale of the series, Kozanlar settled in a coastal town. Taking place in the town scenes shot on Cunda Island of Ayvalık, Kiraz Pension was actually the “House of Zehra Aunt” operated by Zehra Başbuğ.
