TV series that ended years ago in Turkey continue to be shown abroad, breaking ratings records and receiving awards. The last example of this was the series Kara Sevda, which was broadcast about seven years ago.
The TV series Kara Sevda, which was broadcast in Turkey about seven years ago and starring Neslihan Atagül, Burak Özçivit and Kaan Urgancıoğlu, was deemed worthy of a great award from abroad. Kara Sevda won the “Best International Series” award at the “Soap Awards 2021” held in France.
The director of the series, which was produced by Kerem Çatay, was Hilal Saral, who has produced very successful productions such as Aşk-ı Memnu and Fatmagül’ün Suçu Ne. The series, which was broadcast in 74 episodes for two seasons, made its finale in June 2017.
The series has won several awards from abroad so far. Kara Sevda was deemed worthy of the “best telenovela” award at the International Emmy Awards, the world’s most prestigious television awards, in 2017. Having an important place in the history of Turkish TV series, Kara Sevda also received the special jury award at the Seoul International Drama Awards.

In the TV series Kara Sevda, the story of Nihan Sezin (Neslihan Atagül Doğulu), who was born into a magnificent life that she did not feel belonged to, with her son Kemal Soydere (Burak Özçivit), whose hopes were tied by a low-income family, was told, full of impossibilities and miracles.
