Murat Yıldırım, who gained a wide fan base in the Middle East, Balkans, South American countries and Turkic Republics with his TV series, was the guest of Hakan Gence’s “Hakan Gence ile Sıkı Muhabbet” program on Hürriyet YouTube.
The famous actor, who came to the screen with the Aziz series, which is currently broadcast on Show TV, made candid statements in the program. Saying that he lost 10 kilos for the Aziz series, Murat Yıldırım said, “This is the first time I’ve been acting in a period drama, the script impressed me a lot.”
Stating that he was 18 years old when he came to Istanbul, Murat Yıldırım said, “My life passed with madness until the age of 35, but over time people settle down. I have no limits in my own life. I do whatever my heart desires. If I’m not in the process of a movie or TV show, I like to withdraw into my own shell. I forget everything, I continue to live organically,” he said.
Murat Yıldırım, who married Moroccan actress İman Elbani in 2016, explained his love for his wife with these words; “Our meeting with Iman was literally destiny, we met in London. I proposed to Iman on my second sight. This is not something to be told. You live, you feel, you chat as if you have known for years… It happened once in my life too.”
The famous actor also admitted that he escaped death during the shooting of a scene in the TV series Ramo, which was broadcast on Show TV last season. Yıldırım described those moments as follows; “There was a scene where I was going to play Russian Roulette, I was using a 6-shot gun, I fired a few shots at my head, then I realized that there was a pellet in the gun and I was shocked.”
