The US-based digital broadcasting platform will soon enter the Turkish market. After Engin Akyürek and Aras Bulut İynemli, the platform, which received its broadcasting license about a week ago, is now meeting with Pınar Deniz, Elçin Sangu and Hande Erçel.
Founded two years ago and still broadcasting in 71 countries, Disney Plus is counting the days to meet Turkish audiences. Turkey will be the 72nd country where the platform, which received the broadcasting license from RTÜK about a week ago, will broadcast. Disney Plus will be a big competitor to Netflix when it goes live.
The digital platform has already started to produce content from Turkey. The platform, which first started producing Turkish content with the Kaçış series in which Engin Akyürek and İrem Helvacıoğlu shared the lead roles, then reached an agreement for the series to be shot by Lanistar Media and Aras Bulut İynemli will portray Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Disney Plus isn’t slowing down. Journalist Birsen Altuntaş announced that the platform has now started to meet with Pınar Deniz, Elçin Sangu and Hande Erçel. If an agreement is reached with Deniz, Sangu and Erçel, all three of them are the brightest female actors of the last period, the series will be shot together.
Pınar Deniz is still in the lead role in the series Yargı. The series, which was broadcast on Kanal D, has also attracted the attention of HBO Max with its original content. Pınar Deniz managed to be among the names that Disney Plus met with her acting in the Yargı.
Thanks to the success she achieved with the TV series “Sen Çal Kapımı”, Hande Erçel has already taken her fame beyond the borders of Turkey. Hande Erçel, who has surpassed even Hollywood celebrities with her 26 million followers and is therefore very powerful in social media, is still evaluating new offers.
Elçin Sangu, who could not find what she hoped for in the series for a while due to the failure of her latest projects in the ratings, said that she was offended by the TV series, so she turned to the theater. However, it seems that Sangu preferred to evaluate the offer from Disney Plus.
