The 33-year-old actress made a huge breakthrough in her career with the Novice Witch series published in 2006. Later, she played a character named Eylül in the TV series Aşk Re-broadcast on TRT. Boluğur played the character of Hayal İsfendiyar in the series of ‘Ash and Fire’, which was broadcast on Star TV in 2009, and then starred in very successful TV series such as Kuzey Güney, Küçük Yalanlar and Muhteşem Yüzyıl.
Boluğur, who last appeared on the screen in 2017 with the series Storm Inside, did not take part in any TV series projects again after the finale in the sixth episode of the series. Boluğur, who has not been working since then, came to the fore with her statements, love life and social media posts.
Merve Boluğur’s name is remembered with a brand new project after five years. In the series, which will be adapted by BKM from Namık Kemal’s novel İntibah, Merve Boluğur’s name is mentioned for Mahpeyker, the main protagonist of the story.
It is claimed that the series, which is planned to be screened on Kanal D, will be the Aşk-ı Memnu of 2021. As a matter of fact, İntibah’s director and script team is the same as Aşk-Memnu’s.
The director of the series, which will be the modern version of Namık Kemal’s work Intibah, will be directed by Hilal Saral, who has produced popular TV series such as Elveda Derken, Fatmagül’ün Suçu Ne, Kuzey Güney, Kara Sevda, as well as Aşk-ı Memnu. Melek Gençoğlu and Su Ersöz, who are the screenwriters of Aşk-ı Memnu, will write the script of the series.
The story of İntibah is as follows:
Ali is the only son of a wealthy family, a smart, hardworking and handsome young man at the age of twenty-one. His father gave great importance to his son’s education. The father loves his son and the son loves his father very much. But after losing his father, big changes take place in Ali’s life.
Ali falls in love with Mahpeyker, who is actually a prostitute. After his family rejects Mahpeyker, Ali agrees to marry Dilaşub, the concubine in his house. However, Mahpeyker learns about this and swears to take revenge on Ali.
