The Halka (Ring) series, which was broadcast on TRT1 screens in 2018, was a very different and very successful production for the audience, although it did not reach large audiences.
While waiting for the second season broadcast of the series, it was also surprising that the shooting was interrupted with a sudden decision and it was said that it would be renewed and broadcast again in a later period.
Hande Erçel, one of the popular young actresses of recent years, also draws attention to the words that she loves the character of Müjde in the series Halka, even after her success with Sen Çal Kapımı (Love is in the air), which she played after this series. At that time, the actress also expressed the possibility of a remake of the series in her interviews.
However, it was not expected, those waiting for the new episodes of the Halka series were disappointed. Halka, starring Nazan Kesal, Serkan Çayoğlu, Hande Erçel, Kaan Yıldırım, Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan and Hazal Subaşı, was defined as an extraordinary series and was an action series.
It was about two young men with different personalities and lives, ‘Kaan’ and ‘Cihangir’, fighting side by side against a conspiracy they thought was a coincidence and they thought it was fate. Those who watched the series used to put Halka (The Ring) in a different place than other TV series because of a completely different fiction and story.
For this reason, its regulars are still waiting for news from the series. Here comes the expected news! TRT’s preparations for establishing the TRT Digital platform continue due to the increasing number of digital platforms and increasing interest. With this platform, an important way has been opened for the series Halka!
TV Writer Sina Koloğlu gave the good news about the series Halka, which lasted for 19 episodes and ended. In his article, Koloğlu stated that new episodes of the series are being written, 8 episodes are being prepared, and each episode will be one hour, and conveyed the developments about Halka, prepared for TRT Digital.
It is estimated that new episodes of Halka will be broadcast on TRT’s digital platform. Sina Koloğlu, who stated that the editor of Netflix’s famous series Peaky Blinders previously re-edited all the episodes with a fast flow suitable for digital, said, “In the first stage, these episodes are thought to come. Later on, new episodes are planned to be published,” he said.
It is also a matter of curiosity whether the old actors will take part in the new episodes of the series. Regarding this issue,
Sina Koloğlu said, “If all things go well, the shooting is planned to start in September. I understand the production crew is cautious though. Personally, I find it important to take a step. ‘Halka’ was a different drama and I can say that the taste was on the palate.”
