The TV series Yalancılar ve Mumları, broadcast on Fox TV on Sunday evenings, came to the fore as a woman’s story. The story of the series, in which important names such as Elçin Sangu, Ceren Moray, Şafak Pekdemir, Burcu Shadowdar, Feyyaz Duman and İsmail Demirci took the leading roles, impressed the actors.
Adapted by Nermin Yıldırım from the BBC series Mistresses, Yalancılar ve Mumları tells the intertwined lives of 4 women. The production, which was expected to surprise the audience with the instinctive behavior of the female characters, did not receive enough attention in the ratings.
Although there are criticisms of the script, Elçin Sangu, who gives life to the character of Ceyda in the series, does not agree with these criticisms. The famous actress is proud to be in the story of a woman, while appearing in front of her fans with her new image with blonde hair in the new season.
Elçin Sangu, who thanked Fatih Aksoy, the owner of Medyapım, for giving weight to the subject of women recently, said that such productions should be given weight on the screens.
Speaking to Fox TV’s program called Kamera Arkası, the actress stated that the story of the series was written by a literary man, which also affected her a lot.
Elçin Sangu stated that she liked the line of the series Yalancılar ve Mumları and said the following:
“In general, Fatih’s approach to women affects me a lot. Because she is a producer who is constantly doing women’s work at this time. Its value must be known. I think women’s issues should be addressed more. The fact that this script was written for women is very impressive. The fact that it was written by a writer impresses me a lot.
He does it in the sense of solidarity and from a place where we can understand and empathize with how instinctively they are right on the basis of what is actually done. Therefore, this line affects me.”
