The successful actress Öykü Karayel, who will portray the character of ‘Asiye’, has returned to the series after a long break. She told the curious about her famous role. Öykü Karayel, one of the leading actors of Kaderimin Oyunu returned to the television screen after 3 years. In 2020, the actor attracted attention with the digital series titled Bir Başkadır, which was broadcast on Netflix.
Öykü Karayel spoke as follows about her role in the new series: “Kaderimin Oyunu, there is actually the story of Asiye, a woman we sometimes try to fit into a hashtag, and sometimes passes by us every day. She is trying to stand upright on her own despite everything she’s been through. The series emphasizes this aspect of Asiye so strongly that; I think that’s what makes her different, at least for me.”
Stating that they started shooting very quickly after the rehearsals in Amasya and then continued in Istanbul, Öykü Karayel explained that the new character got its strength from her own heart.
She expressed the play and what separates Asiye from the other roles she played, with these words: “I can’t make a specific distinction. After all, every character we play is different from the previous one. As we change, our interpretation can also change. But the fact that Asiye really draws her strength from her own heart sets her apart in general.”
Öyküü Karayel, who describes Asiye as a strong woman who does not give up and does not get crushed under her wounds, said what awaits the audience in Kaderimin Oyunu: “The series, Asiye, who has a happy family and a wife whom she loves very much, suddenly finds herself her husband. She tells what she went through after Cemal left and after she faced a tragic event. For him, nothing is the same anymore. You even have to start everything from scratch. At this point, Cemal enters his life as a brand new person. And of course, they cross paths with a brand new man named Mahir.”
