Barış Arduç is a Turkish television and film actor. He was born on 9 October 1987, in Switzerland, to a family of Albanian immigrants. At the age of 8, Barış Arduç moved to Turkey with his family.

Arduç completed his primary and secondary education in Turkey. In 1998, he finished first grade at a primary school in Sakarya. He was a student at the middle classes and began high school student in Bolu. Later, his family moved to Üsküdar, where he graduated from high school in 2005. He won an education grant and enrolled in Kayseri Erciyes University Sports Academy.

Starting in his childhood, he participated in various sports activities such as swimming, diving, football, basketball, handball, and kayaking. In May 2016, he started taking a boxing class at EFSANE boxing studio, and became an active member at BVJIN, a fight club. He also rides bicycles and motorcycles. In April 2016, he started learning how to sail. Since November 2016, he is active in practicing shooting. In May 2017, Baris received a Blue Belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

He speaks three languages: Turkish, English, and Albanian.

In addition to being a two-time award winner at the Golden Butterfly TV Awards (2015 and 2016), he had the Sadri Family Theater and Cinema Awards. He has won “Best Actor” awards from many universities, as well as from educational and public institutions.

Since May 2016, he is also a Goodwill Ambassador for the Life Without Cancer Society of Turkey. In March 2017, he won the GQ Turkey award “Mostly Spoken Man of the year 2016”.

2005–2011: Early career:

Arduç’s first job was as a lifeguard at “BEYKOZ SUALTI SPOR KLB. BEYKOZ” for eight years (2005–2013) at Şile, Istanbul, Turkey.

He attended acting training courses in 2007-2009 in Istanbul, Turkey, and completed his theatrical education at Sadri Family Theatre. In 2009, he became a professional actor after meeting with Ayla Algan.

2011–2015: First acting roles:

Arduç began acting in television shows in 2011. His first three, all in 2011, were First Little Lady ,Listen Dear, and The Dirty Seven. He also appeared in Do Not Worry about Me in 2012, Today’s Jester from 2013 to 2014, and Racon: For My Family in 2015. He began starring in movies in 2014, with Only You and Deliha.

2015–2017: First starring role at the Series:

On June 19, 2015, Arduç was given a starring role in the Turkish TV series Rental Love where he played alongside Elçin Sangu on the Turkish channel Star TV As “The best Series Pair”, the characters of Ömer İplikçi and Defne Topal, Barış Arduç alongside Elçin Sangu they won Golden Butterfly TV Awards (2015). Rental Love was named The Best Romantic – Comedy TV Series of 2015 by GECCE magazine, and took 5th place in the “Best Turkish TV Series of 2015” award.

In June 2016, Star TV in Turkey decided to broadcast a second season, beginning on 23 September 2016. On November 2016, as “The best Series Actor” Barış Arduç won his second Golden Butterfly TV Awards (2016).

2017: First starring role at the Movie:

On January 23, 2017, at an interview with the magazine GQ Türkiye, Barış Arduç claimed that he had finished a movie script. He announced that in the Summer of 2017, as a director and writer, he would be planning to make a movie.

On September, 2017, Barış Arduç officially was representing by Star TV for the TV Season 2017–2018 years. Also, on September, 2017, Barış Arduç got the starring role where he played alongside Elçin Sangu at the romantic comedy movie provided and produced by MARS MEDIA, Nulook Production “Happiness Time”, tur.- “Mutluluk Zamani”.

The Gala scheduled for November 8, 2017 at Istanbul, and on November 10, 2017 Barış Arduç started to introduce the Gala at the cities around the Turkey, and later November – December 2017, the Gala scheduled at the European Countries – Germany, Belgium, and Azerbaijan.

On November 2, 2017 – Barış Arduç alongside Elçin Sangu, were developed song Bu Su Hic Durmaz, by Nulook Production. Into the one month on YouTube the Soundtrack had 15 million views.
