On TRT 1 screens, the most anticipated episode of this season, Mehmed Fetihler Sultanı (Mehmed: Sultan of Conquests), which will shed light on the life of Mehmed the Conqueror, one of the most magnificent rulers of Ottoman history, met with the audience on Tuesday evening.
The fact that the series achieved above average ratings was a good development for the beginning. The series finished the day third in the AB group, placed fifth in the ABC1 group and ninth in the all-person category. It seems possible that the series Mehmed Sultan of Conquests will achieve much better ratings in the second episode.
A magnificent gala was held on the first day of the series. Serkan Çayoğlu, the leading actor of the series, attracted attention with the statements he made at the premiere.
Serkan Çayoğlu, who played the leading role in the series as Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, explained his feelings with the following words: “As you know, Fatih is one of the most important people in our history with his intelligence and incredible intellectual knowledge, and is a name that has shaped not only our history but also the world’s history. Therefore, both me and the team went through a very serious preparation process. “We try to understand the story well and tell it well.”
Tuba Ünsal, who played the role of Mara Hatun in the series, explained her feelings with the following words:
“I am playing Mara Hatun. An interesting princess who beautifully blended the power of women in history with elegance. She is the only female character who became a sultan in the Ottoman Empire without having children. “This evening will be a surprise for all of us because we haven’t watched the series, we’ve been working on it for months.”
The cast of the series, produced by Eyüp Gökhan Özekin and directed by Şafak Bal, also includes successful names such as Serkan Çayoğlu, Selim Bayraktar, Fikret Kuşkan, Tuba Ünsal, Kenan Çoban, Bülent Alkış, Seçkin Özdemir and Esila Umut.
For the first episode of the series, shooting was done for 10 days at Nour Cinema City, which is the most magnificent film set in Iran and was specially prepared for the century of happiness projects.
In the series, the world-famous Hollywood star Gassan Mesud, who won the hearts of the audience with the films Kingdom of Heaven and Pirates of the Caribbean, appeared in front of the camera for the character of Eyüb El Ensari, which will be reflected on the screens in parallel with the story of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror.
