OVERALL IMPRESSION:

The series Seven Beautiful Men, which is about the lives of seven poets who shaped Turkish literature, received serious criticism from the literature and art circles during the period it was published.

While some columnists criticized the inclusion of “Seven Beautiful Men” in the series even though it was written before 1970, some authors criticized the presentation of poets as characters in modern high school TV series as an instrument of popular culture. There were some who criticized the series that it did not reflect the spirit of the period and that it was a power project. Although the series, which continued for 2 seasons, had an entrenched audience, it could not give the desired ratings, so there was a constant change of day and time.

STORY:

It is about the lives of Cahit Zarifoğlu, Mehmet Akif İnan, Erdem Bayazıt, Rasim Özdenören, Ali Kutlay, Nuri Pakdil and Alâeddin Özdenören, who have important places in Turkish literature.

Seven Beautiful Men decide to establish a magazine on the events in Maraş. The Seven Beautiful Men, who published their first magazines in poverty, asked for help from the left-based printer Eşref Usta, who helped them years ago. While Nuri, Rasim, Akif, Alaaddin, Ali, Sait are trying to publish the magazine, Erdem and Cahit are looking for a solution to the chaos in the school. Zehra, who has been connected to Cahit with a platonic love since her high school years, is also one of the partners of this quest.

On top of the peace of mind some students have at school, the newly arrived principal Fuat makes things even worse. Fuat, a hard-minded person, wages war on the teachers by using the poems published in the school newspaper as an excuse as soon as he arrives.

While Seven Beautiful Men are trying to end the turmoil, Fuat, who interprets what he sees from afar in his own way, has troubled days due to the unfounded notices. Meanwhile, Cahit’s friend, Süleyman, from his youth, is appointed as a teacher to the Black High School. Interpreting this friendship differently from the outside, Fuat begins a meaningless hostility. So much so that he goes so far as to denounce the students at his school as anarchists. Merve, whom Cevat reported just because she was her girlfriend, learns that she cannot become a mother for life after being tortured because of Fuat.

While the Seven Beautiful Men struggle with the violent reaction of political views on the street, events break out in Maraş. The Deep State sent Adnan to Maraş to trigger the Alevi-Sunni tension. Adnan makes the street mix in a short time. Infiltrating into political structures, many unsolved murders become the behind-the-scenes names. It pits Selim, the leader of the left in Maraş, and Çalık, the leader of the right.

Seven Beautiful Men, on the other hand, wage war against the persecution in Jerusalem, the heart of the ummah, while trying to bring tranquility to the street. Seven Beautiful Men, who take care of a Palestinian woman, become the target of the Deep State in Maraş.
