‘Bir Zamanlar Çukurova’, the most watched production of ATV screens, which has been at the top for three seasons, will make an assertive entry into the new season. The series, which includes İbrahim Çelikkol with the character of “Hakan Gümüşoğlu” in its cast, is getting ready to come to the screen with the first episode of the season on Thursday, September 9th.
Answering Sonat Bahar’s questions from Sabah Newspaper, the famous actor İbrahim Çelikkol made candid statements about his character and the process of being included in the series. İbrahim Çelikkol, who said that he is excited and faithful as he is at the beginning of every new project, said, “Even though it seems like a job that the audience has been familiar with for 3 seasons, it is important what the story will turn into. The effect of the character I brought to life excites me.”
Çelikkol said, “You are returning to the screens with the period series. How would you evaluate the period series? He answered the question “What are the advantageous aspects for an actor?” as follows; “If you are shooting period work, I think it is necessary to have complete control over the time the story takes place. The values of each period are different. Integrating that with the story and the character is the most rigorous part.”
Noting that he listened to the late 1970s, the period in which the series took place, from his elders, the actor said, “If I had to go back to that period right now, I think I would have no difficulty.” Çelikkol also said about the costumes of that period, “I think men are just as attentive and stylish as women. Of course, it is far from today, but there was a special energy of those times.”
İbrahim Çelikkol described the character of “Hakan Gümüşoğlu”, which he portrayed in the series, with these words; “As we watch ‘Hakan Gümüşoğlu’, we will all get to know it together and I think we will love it very much. A character full of surprises. A character all in one. It has many features that will make the audience laugh, love and appreciate it.
Çelikkol stated that he easily adapted to the team of the series, which was shot in Adana; I am very lucky for my teammates. Since the first day we started shooting, I feel like I am at home even though I am miles away from my home. I am happy to work with them. I am getting used to Adana more and more every day. I’m here for my job. “I know that and I’m trying to enjoy it,” he said.
