On Wednesday evenings, there is a huge rating war on the three major television channels ATV, Kanal D and Fox TV. The first episode of the new season of Sadakatsiz broadcast on Kanal D and the first episode of the Fox TV series Kanunsuz Topraklar were broadcast on the same evening two weeks ago. However, the arrival of the ATV series Kuruluş Osman last week especially disturbed the Kanunsuz Topraklar.
Starring Cansu Dere, Melis Sezen and Caner Cindoruk, Sadakatsiz broke the rating record when it came to the screen with the first episode of the new season two weeks ago and became the first in all categories.
Kanunsuz Topraklar, Fox TV’s successful TV series set in Zonguldak in the 1930s, also came in second. Starring Uğur Güneş and Esra Bilgiç, the series got full marks from the audience with its first episode.
However, a week later, the balance changed when the ATV series Kuruluş Osman came to the screen with the first episode of the new season. Although Sadakatsiz still got very good ratings, it lost its first place in all categories. The rank of the Kanunsuz Topraklar also went a little further back.
The same thing happened this week. While Sadakatsiz and Kuruluş Osman shared the titles, there was a regression in the rankings of Kanunsuz Topraklar. The series ranked 8th in all viewers and 7th in EU and ABC1.
In other words, the arrival of Kuruluş Osman affected the Kanunsuz Topraklar the most. Let’s see what initiatives the script writers will make in order to increase the ratings in the coming days.
