One of Turkey’s biggest disasters took place in Kahramanmaraş on Monday, February 6th. With the earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 first and then 7.6 hours later, life stopped in 10 cities where nearly 14 million people lived.
There was a great struggle to save those who were under the rubble, and the tragedy of the injured and the millions of people who survived the earthquake but remained helpless has deeply saddened everyone.
A photograph engraved in the minds of many people during the earthquake and never to be forgotten again represented a deep pain. A father could not let go of the hand of his daughter, who was caught in an earthquake and died in bed. It was a great pain described by this photo frame, and those who saw it felt this pain in their hearts.
Seray Kaya also lost her beloved father, Hasan Kaya, in 2019. Expressing her great love for her father at every opportunity, the actress could not forget this pain over the years. The moment when a father could not let go of her dead daughter’s hand in the earthquake affected Seray Kaya as much as everyone else.

In another post she made after the earthquake disaster, the actress wrote:
“We were so helpless, so helpless. I can’t fit anywhere. I am afraid for my brothers, I am very afraid.”
The famous actress revealed with this message that her own relatives were also affected by the earthquake and showed how deep a trace of pain and desperation is.
