The first episode of the TV series Kısmet (Fortune), which was brought together by Fox TV during the summer season, was broadcast on Friday, June 16th. The series, starring Cem Gelinoğlu and Özge Özacar, stood out as a production that tried to attract the audience to the screen with a complex love story.
This complicated love story in the Kısmet apartment is between Lawyer Doğan and his neighbor Melike. Doğan’s love for Melike will become complicated due to the social differences between the families, as well as the fact that both have different characteristics.

Cem Gelinoğlu said, “Doğan is a fun character and a person whom the neighborhood loves and respects. A man with his own walls. He is a person with indestructible walls, but let’s not say that he is indestructible,” he made her smile.
Mentioning that Melike is a character that has excited her for a long time, Özge Özacar also took on an important responsibility as the female lead in the TV series Kısmet as a result of her experience in previous projects.
Özge Özacar, who has a confident attitude, said, “I am playing Melike and she has been one of the characters that has been very exciting for a long time. Doğan’s childhood friend, they have been together since they were 5 years old. I think they have a very nice road friendship where there is unconditional love,” she said.
The characters of Doğan and Melike, who can communicate without speaking, will also attract the attention of the audience. What attracted Özge Özacar to the series was that the character of Melike had very different dimensions. The actress said the following about it:
“For me, the fact that Melike is five-dimensional… When the summer works are published, it becomes a prejudice. It’s about the story and the expectation, but not here. Melike is their complete opposite. Maybe a woman beyond social norms. When I read it, I felt great excitement by saying ‘I want to do it’ while uttering the sentences.”
Cem Gelinoğlu, who mentioned that the screenwriters created the character of Doğan very well, therefore very much wanted to take part in the project. The famous actor said, “I really like the character of Doğan. Being a respected person is something I also care about in life. Also, I was tired of the disdain for the characters I made so far. “I loved the character because this is a lawyer.”
Mentioning that being friends with Özge Özacar from Bursa was also effective in accepting the role, Cem Gelinoğlu also revealed his discomfort at the criticism of the characters he made in his statement.
Gelinoğlu sees revealing a series of characters that he has not been criticized for with Kısmet as an important reason for being in this project.
