Çağlar Ertuğrul, Berkay Ateş and Merve Dizdar, who are in the lead roles of Magarsus, whose first two episodes were published last Thursday and received great acclaim, give very effective performances. It would not be wrong to say that the master actor Ercan Kesal also made a great character presentation.
In the behind-the-scenes footage of the Magarsus series, the moments when the actors had fun during the stage shoot were also reflected on the cameras.
The shooting of the series, named after Magarsus, an ancient city in Adana, took place in different districts such as Karataş, Sarıçam and Yumurtalık. A special port was built for the port scenes.
Speaking about the 9-week series, director and screenwriter Yunus Ozan Korkut said: “We wanted to tell a story we know from our own childhood, and we wanted to make a character drama. Our whole purpose was about the change and transformation of the characters. We didn’t expect to write something this big when we wrote it.”
Berkay Ateş, one of the leading actors of the series; “I would never have guessed that I would play such a character in my life,” he said.
Çağlar Ertuğrul, who played the character of Turgut in the series, said that he liked the script very much and read the first three episodes, while Merve Dizdar commented, “It was an incredible scenario”.
A South American musical instrument called Charngo was used in the soundtrack of the series. In addition, the music was composed by the successful musician Toygar Işıklı.
