Ateş Kuşları (The Firebirds) series, broadcast on ATV on Friday evenings, stands out as a street children’s story. The series, which debuted with good ratings, also achieved successful results in creating its own audience. Hande Soral, who played the character of Mercan in the story of the series, also returned to the sets with this story.
Hande Soral, who liked the story of the Ateş Kuşları series and was convinced to appear in front of the cameras again, told the traces that the story left on her.
The famous actress said, “We started to notice the stories of the street children, the Ateş Kuşları, and the moments of street children that we have not seen or witnessed. Both with this scenario and by observing. Because we look at people and children living on the street in a different way. They come from very difficult lives, they live very difficult lives,” she said.
Hande Soral, who is trying to raise awareness for children with the emotionality of being a mother, said that they hope to be able to tell some of the difficulties that street children experience.
However, underlining that there is a much more difficult life on the street, the actress said, “I’m sure there are stories that are much more traumatic and have a not so happy ending.”
Talking about the Ateş Kuşları series being a family story, Hande Soral said that she and her friends were like brothers on the set.
Görkem Sevindik, İlayda Alişan, Emir Çubukçu and Erdem Şanlı are among the prominent names of the story. Hande Soral said, “We and the five of us became like five siblings on the set. We are always together against any negativity that may occur. So are we on set. Despite the weather, the cold and everything. In this simulation, we experience this the most.”
