In the past months, an event that took place on the set of the TV series “Kuruluş Osman” was brought to the court. Statements about the day of the incident, in which the set workers and Burak Özçivit were sued, were reflected in the media.
Burak Özçivit, who plays the leading role in the series, drew attention to his statement about the claim that no precautions were taken in a scene with a sword!
Three set employees, who claimed that Özçivit had spoken insulting and swearing words to them, filed a criminal complaint against the actor. In the incident that was brought to the court, a lawsuit was filed against Burak Özçivit with a request for imprisonment of up to 4 years and 1 month.
Burak Özçivit, who appeared before the judge, said, “There was no insulting incident. “There was no action taken on a scene with a sword on the set,” he said.
Burak Özçivit, who is constantly on a horse and has to use a sword in the TV series Kuruluş Osman, told about some of the mishaps during the shooting in the court.
The actor claimed that he fell off the horse due to the precautions that were not taken for 3 consecutive days, that he had an argument with the set manager on the 4th day during the scene shooting and that he did not make any insults.
In Özçivit’s defense, the words “I also accept volunteering in a job that is beneficial to the public” drew attention, while he claimed that there were some differences in the field regarding the nature of acting, “We were shooting again that day, it was a tent scene. We were shooting a dangerous scene, it was a shoot about swords. Swords were swinging at us, and we were outside.
As part of the job, precautions are taken in such dangerous scenes, when the shooting started, I asked the friends who were there for help, “Can they come by themselves?” Because I have a great responsibility because I am the lead role. If something happens to me, we cannot continue the business.”
Announcing its interim decision, the court decided to hear the witnesses and to exclude the accused Burak Özçivit from the hearings. The hearing was adjourned.
