TRT 1’s series attack continues. It is preparing to bring a new production to the screen after the Kara Tahta (Blackboard) and Kasaba Doktoru (Town Doctor) series. The TV series Yeşil Vadi’nin Kızı (The Girl of The Green Valley) will be the Turkish adaptation of the international TV series “Anne With an E”.
“Anne with an E” is a Canadian television series based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic children’s literature Anne Green of Green Gables. The series was broadcast on Netflix for three seasons and attracted a lot of attention.
The series “Anne With en E” is now being adapted for Turkey. Beren Gökyıldız, one of Turkey’s most successful child actress, plays the leading role in the TV series Yeşil Vadi’nin Kızı. Beren Gökyıldız will play Melissa, the Turkish version of the mother character in the series. The poster and the first presentation of the series, which will be screened on TRT 1, have also been published.
Beren Gökyıldız, who is only 12 years old, started her acting career with the TV series “Kocamın Ailesi”, which was broadcast on Fox TV. She attracted all the attention with her successful performance in the character of Melek in the TV series Anne (Mother). Beren Gökyıldız last appeared on the screen with the TV series named Çocukluk (Childhood), which was published two years ago.
It is not yet clear when the Girl of the Green Valley series will air. However, since the series also targets abroad, its introduction has already been prepared with English subtitles as The Girl Of The Green Valley. Beren Gökyıldız has a large fan base in Latin American countries thanks to the TV series Anne.
The story of “Anne With en E”, the original story of the series, is as follows:
Two brothers, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, decide to adopt a boy from the orphanage to help with their farm. When Matthew goes to the train station to pick up their adopted child, he realizes that instead of a boy, they have adopted an imaginative, talkative, cheerful, energetic 13-year-old girl. This girl, Anne’s family, died when she was only a few months old, and Anne has worked as a maid in different families until now.
While Matthew wants Anne to stay, Marilla does not trust Anne because she is a useless orphan. Upon a mistake, they send Anne back to the orphanage. Later, they realize their terrible mistake and try to find Anne. When Anne starts living with the Cuthbert siblings, she is ostracized by her schoolmates and neighbors in their neighborhood. But Anne overcomes all difficulties thanks to her intelligence, problem-solving ability and imagination.
