Netflix’s new Turkish series Kulüp is released yesterday. The series, whose shooting was completed a long time ago and expected with great curiosity, brought together Barış Arduç and Salih Bademci, who starred in the same series years ago.
The Kulüp, which took place in Beyoğlu in the 1950s and mirrors the nightlife of that period with its story, is screened on Netflix. Bringing together the popular names of the last period such as Gökçe Bahadır, Barış Arduç, Salih Bademci, Fırat Tanış and Metin Akdülger, the series drew attention with its fascinating introductions.
The Kulüp series also brought together Barış Arduç and Salih Bademci, who had starred together in the TV series Kiralık Aşk, four years ago. When Kiralık Aşk was broadcast on Star TV six years ago, it received great acclaim and became the pioneer of a new trend in Turkish TV series.
Kiralık Aşk helped Elçin Sangu, Barış Arduç and Salih Bademci make a very important leap in their careers. Barış Arduç; Ömer and Salih Bademci portrayed Sinan characters in Kiralık Aşk, which was screened in many countries abroad.
The two actors came together six years later, this time in the TV series Kulüp. Both are more mature and experienced now.
Zeynep Günay Tan and Seren Yüce are the directors of the series, which was shot by O3 Medya. The script is written by Necati Şahin, Ayşin Akbulut, Serkan Yörük, Bengü Üçüncü and Rana Denizer.
Set in 1955 in Beyoğlu and mirroring the nightlife of the period, the Kulüp series tells the story of Matilda, an ex-convict working at the revolutionary nightclub of the time, and her daughter Raşel, who was unaware of her existence until the day she was released from prison.
