Unfortunately, the series project called Ne Gemiler Yaktım (What Ships did I Burn?), which attracted great attention from female viewers due to the starring role of Deniz Baysal and Devrim Özkan in the project, which is the story of two women, could not continue for a long time.
Berk Hakman and Erkan Kolçak Köstendil starred in the leading roles of the series. Köstendil, who plays the character named Toprak, is very happy to return to the series sets with such a different story.
However, the series did not achieve the expected ratings. As Show TV did not want to continue a project with low ratings for a long time, Ne Gemiler Yaktım series said goodbye to its viewers in the 8th episode.
Erkan Kolçak Köstendil explained his satisfaction with the project, despite the early finalization, with the following words:
“Sometimes being involved in some things gives you pleasure. Sometimes it is meaningful to be involved in a job rather than how long it takes or what it is. That’s why it will remain a very meaningful job for me.”
Apparently, this drama series has a different meaning for the successful actor and it seems that it will remain one of the works he attaches importance to throughout his career.
Underlining that he looks at the details of the role when choosing a project, the actor said, “I look at the role. If the story is good and the money is good, why shouldn’t I do it? he said.
“I don’t have any fear of ratings,” said Köstendil, adding that it is important for him whether he likes the role or not, not how long the projects last.
