Tuba Büyüküstün and Billur Kalkavan came to the screen with the role of mother and daughter in the TV series Ihlamurlar Altında, which was broadcast on Kanal D between 2005 and 2077.
Billur Kalkavan, who announced that she had lung cancer last May, died in the hospital where she was treated.
The news of Billur Kalkavan’s death shook Tuba Büyüküstün deeply. The famous actress expressed her sadness by sharing her Instagram account. Tuba Büyüküstün, who wrote an emotional article, described Kalkavan with these words in her post below;
“If you never knew Billur Kalkavan, just being with her would train you. For example, do you know what you would see in her? Instead of complaining about what you don’t have, to be grateful for what is happening… Not to talk behind anyone’s back, to be frank and honest without disrespect… to live in the moment, to be real without hiding as you are… Being curious, hungry for life’s information and sharing that information with others… It is a great freedom to admit that you made a mistake… that wealth has nothing to do with money… that you can chat with animals for hours and ask for their memories. … Love and conversation are the wheels of this life… Many more that I can’t think of…”
Hamdi Alkan, who was the first to explain Billur Kalkavan’s illness, announced the bitter news on his social media account with the words, “I am very sorry… Sleep in the light, my dear Billur.”
Billur Kalkavan, who was born on November 2, 1962, stepped into the world of cinema when she was only 7 years old. Over time, she took part in many films and series, and became one of the well-known names in the television world.
After completing high school in the USA, Billur Kalkavan took psychology classes from UCLA University. She first stepped into the cinema in 1969 with the movie “Ayrı Dünyalar”. Kalkavan, who is only 7 years old, gave life to a boy who was kidnapped for ransom by the villain played by Erol Taş.
