The story of the series, which took place in Central Asia in the 8th century in a period before Islam, was greeted with enthusiasm by the audience. The series, which has already managed to attract attention with its introductions, was also appreciated with its acting and story.
Destan series was expected in many countries of the world, including Turkey. It showed great success by entering the social media agenda in 50 countries, especially in Turkey, the USA, Norway, Germany, Mexico, Spain, Egypt, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, China, Norway, Germany and France.
The preparation process of the series was not that easy! For the series, in which Ebru Şahin and Edip Tepeli played the leading role, the actors received horse riding, sword-wielding and fighting training months ago.

In an interview that Şahin gave for the ATV Youtube channel a few days before the broadcast of the series, it was learned that during the preparation stage, they gave a difficult training for 6 hours a day. While the actress revealed that she was happy and excited despite all this difficult process, the images taken while shooting arrows on the horse were also reflected in the video.
Ebru Şahin, who said that she had no difficulty in the training process and that she was happy to tell such a female character for the first time, explained that she worked 6 hours a day during the preparation phase of the series.

The consultants of the series are Prof. Dr. Ahmet Taşağıl, Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Fatih Doğrucan and Prof. Dr. Erkan Göksu gave theoretical lessons to the actors for three months about the period of the story and the life of that period.
For the shooting of the series, the Gök Khanate Palace and gardens were built on an area of 20 thousand square meters on the Bozdağ Film Plateau, in accordance with the 8th century Central Asian Turkish architecture. Within the scope of the Gök Khanate Palace, the palace reception room and living rooms for the members of the dynasty took place in a closed area of 4,500 square meters in the Beykoz Shoe Factory.
Within the Bozdağ Film Plateau, the city streets and bazaar were built on the basis of the eighth century Central Asian Turkish architecture on an open plateau of 5800 square meters. Two obas with 50 tents belonging to the period were built on 15 thousand square meters. The handmade tents in the tents were specially produced for the project in Turkmenistan. While the construction of the decorations took six months, an art team of 287 took part.
The actors of the series “Destan”, whose preparation process continued for a year, received action, horse riding, arrow and sword training from the Bozdağ Film Crew, which is composed of experts. Equestrian training was given at Bozdağ Film facilities with specially trained horses.
5,300 pieces of accessories, items, swords, spears, shields and objects belonging to the period were produced in the workshops located on the Bozdağ Film Plateau to be used in the shooting of the series. While 125 costumes were sewn for the players, a total of 8,115 costumes were prepared for the assistants and other players. While the crew of the series “Destan” consisted of 235 people, 4,500 supporting actors took part in the shooting of the first episode of the series.
