Tragedy (İnsanlık Suçu) is a Turkish television series signed by Pastel Film, directed by Reyhan Peker and Ozan Uzunoğlu, and written by Vilmer Özçınar and Nalan Merter Savaş together. The screen life did not last long due to the low ratings of the series broadcast on Channel D.

The series, which brought together important names such as Kaan Yıldırım, Gizem Karaca, Melike İpek Yalova, was short-lived because it did not get good ratings, although it attracted attention with its story. A strong cast had met in the series, which lasted only 8 episodes.

OVERALL IMPRESSION:

Tragedy series, in which the story of Cemal, who came to Istanbul from Adana and reckoned with his past and his family, made an assertive entrance to the screens with its experienced actors, but it did not get the expected rating and the final decision was taken by Kanal D, where it was broadcast. The final scene of the series, which ended with its 8th episode, also did not satisfy its audience. The audience reacted to the sudden ending of the series with their comments on social media.

STORY:

Cemal, who lives in a poor neighborhood of Adana, is trying to take care of his whole family by serving as a waitress. Cemal’s despair, always looking for a way out, has grown even more with the death of his seriously ill father. He is not yet aware that this painful event will fundamentally change his life. Before his father gave his last breath, he told Cemal that he had a wealthy uncle in Istanbul. Learning that he has a wealthy relative deeply shakes Cemal, who grew up in misery.

Cemal’s mind is thoroughly confused when his uncle Sami Gökdemir, one of the few businessmen of the country, appears and promises his nephew a share of the wealth they have. His mother Hülya wants to keep her son away from Sami and his environment due to years of hostility and unhealed wounds of the past. However, Cemal’s life has already entered an irreversible path. Despite his mother’s efforts to prevent him, Cemal, who cannot escape his fate, will be forced to accept his uncle’s offer.

Stepping into a brand new world in Istanbul, Cemal will not be able to stop himself from falling in love with Suna, who is engaged to his cousin while trying to impose himself on the Gökdemir family, and he will get himself into completely different dreams. However, his haunted sins will soon shatter his hopes. A tough journey with an uncertain end has begun in front of Cemal.
