Preparations are underway for the huge budget Mevlana series, which TRT is preparing to shoot for its digital channel, TRT 0. While the preparations for the shooting were in progress, it was agreed with a new actress after Semra Dinçer, one of the actors who took part in the series, passed away a while ago.
Master actress Semra Dinçer, known for TV series such as Kuzey ve Güney, İstanbullu Gelin, died while working for her last project, Mevlana. Dinçer’s death at a young age caused great sadness in the art world.
The master actress was going to play Cennet Hatun, Mevlana’s mother, in the new series of TRT. However, with the death of Dinçer, this role was left in vain. According to the news of journalist Birsen Altuntaş, two months after Dinçer’s death, another master actress Tülin Oral was hired for the same role in the Mevlana TV series.
The 84-year-old very experienced actress worked at the Dormen Theater for many years. The actress, who took part in theater plays rather than TV series, was loved and recognized by everyone for her role as Niko’s grandmother Eftelya in the TV series Yabancı Damat.
Tülin Oral last starred in the TV series Aşk Yeniden, which was shot for Fox TV in 2015 and starring Özge Özpirinçci and Buğra Gülsoy. She will be back on the screens after about seven years with Mevlana.
Ebru Özkan Efsun, Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan Zerkubi, Ushan Çakır Şirazi, Ahu Türkpençe Kirra Hatun, Gizem Yılmaz Kimya, and Nilay Deniz will portray the Gürcü Hatun characters in the series in which Bülent İnal will portray Mevlana.
The series, produced by Kale Film, will be shot in Konya. An expensive set was created by spending big money in Konya for the series. While the preparations for the shooting of the series continue at full throttle, no statement has yet been made as to when it will appear on the screen.
