Aslıhan Malbora, who attracted attention with her character “Leyla” in the Üç Kuruş series broadcast on Show TV, was a guest on Bu Gece Program with İbrahim Selim, broadcast on YouTube.
In Üç Kuruş, the actress, who is in front of the camera with experienced names including Uraz Kaygılaroğlu, Ekin Koç, Nesrin Cavadzade, Nursel Köse and Civan Canova, is the sister of the Roman mafia leader ‘Kartal’, played by Uraz Kaygılaroğlu. gives life to her daughter ‘Leyla’.
Stating that it was a surprise for her family to be an actress on Bu Gece with İbrahim Selim, Aslıhan Malbora said, “Acting was my childhood dream, but I didn’t talk much in the family. My family wanted me to go to METU at university, but I wanted to study in Istanbul in order to be closer to the acting profession, and I said to my family, ‘Let it be Istanbul, you choose the department'”.
The actress, who graduated from Bilgi University Food Engineering Department, said, “Everyone in my family is a numericist, I am the laziest in the family, my brother, who is 6 years older than me, is very smart, now she works as an engineer in Germany.
My ranking in the university exam did not turn out quite as we imagined. I was inadequate for my family. double major; I chose Chemical and Food Engineering. Chemistry was left when she started acting. My family did not believe that I could become an actress. But they never stopped. Even two years after my father started acting, she was saying, ‘Don’t drop your average, if you can’t hold on to this job, you’ll become an academic’. My father is still a Mechanical Engineer, he said, ‘Send the diploma and I’ll hang it’”.
The actress, who won acclaim for her novel dance in the Üç Kuruş TV series, stated that she loves dancing and said, “I was in the dance performance team at the university. I have always had an interest in dance, I play to the squeak of the door”.
Stating that she was exposed to many jokes about her surname in the program, Aslıhan Malbora said, “My ancestors lost their property during the National Struggle, and my surname comes from the fact that their property capsized. The worst joke I’ve ever been exposed to on this subject; It’s a ‘Hello, I’m Parlament (cigarette brand)’ joke,” she said.
