Family: She was born in Ankara, grew up there until high school. “My grandmother is German, my grandfather brought her to Turkey. My mother is also half German, half Turkish. I am also a quarter German, but I was born and raised in Turkey. I have a brother named Yunus. There have always been two cultures and languages in my life. I think this is a very big chance. In this way, you both learn tolerance and experience the pleasure of discovering different cultures. There is also the well-known German discipline and logical approach. You channel it into your life. And I think that’s great.”

Childhood years: She started dance classes when she was only three years old and then took ballet and gymnastics training. “I started dancing and theater at the age of three. When I was six years old, I took part in the theater play “Eşeğin Gölgesi”. I was also doing ballet. Then I became interested in gymnastics and jazz dance. During my high school years, I danced at the Anadolu Ateşi for a while. I was a diligent student. I was talking in class, but my teachers loved me. Because my grades were always very good. I always did something outside of school. I was playing the piano at Bilkent University. Theater and music have always been in my life, but dance was dominant. When I don’t dance, my soul gets stuck. It’s a passion for me. I also have a very funny memory of dancing; Think now how much I love all kinds of this field. Our stage was finished in the first ballet performance. And our instructor took my group backstage. Before the other group came out, I jumped on the stage and started to belly up. The cameraman laughed so much that he couldn’t take it. Who knows what they thought about me? She probably said, “After all, she’s 3 years old and in a ballet performance. They said, ‘I think she’s bored.’

Education life: After graduating from the German High School in Ankara, she won the Faculty of Law at the University of Cologne with a scholarship. Afterwards, she won the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Contemporary Dance Department.

Career: She was selected as ‘Miss Turkey Universe’ in 2015 and started receiving acting offers. “I was studying in Germany. I didn’t know about the competition. When 2 of my dancer friends applied, they also applied on my behalf. I entered with friend gas. After the registration became beautiful, my life in Germany continued from where it left off. I am someone who makes fun of myself a lot. The people around me did not care about this registration. In fact, participating in the competition requires self-confidence. I haven’t done any modeling since the competition. By the modeling standards of the fashion industry, I’m already fat and I’m not complaining about it either. I think everyone is the same, it doesn’t have to be that standard body type that is imposed on us. I do not put myself under such an obligation. Since I dance and act, a healthy and muscular body structure is more important to me. But photo shoots are a lot of fun to me.”

The first step into acting: She started her television adventure with the character of Seda Yılmaz in the TV series “Arkadaşlar İyidir”

Which project did she shine with? She attracted attention with her character “Gamze” in the TV series “Erkenci Kuş”.

Personality traits: She attaches great importance to friendships and friendships. “There are people in my life that I have been friends with since I was 4 years old and grew up with. Thankfully, I have never been ripped off by my close friends. I can’t be friends with everyone very quickly. I don’t say ‘I’m closest’ to anyone as soon as I get to know them. And I don’t like to tell everybody everything.”

Personal development: After the beauty contest, she received acting offers and came to Istanbul from Germany to study acting. “When my school was on vacation, I came to Istanbul and took acting lessons from Başak Akan and Bahar Kerimoğlu.”

Mindset: She doesn’t find herself sexy. “First of all, to me, I’m not a sexy girl at all. My demeanor and daily mood radiate a different energy. I don’t wear make-up anyway in my daily life. That’s why they say I’m sexy when I dance. In acting, I feel like a curious child. There is so much to discover and the exchange between these two disciplines has contributed a lot to me.”

Unforgettable memory on set: She can’t forget a memory she had on the set of the TV series “Arkadaşlar İyidir”, which is her first acting experience. “When I first started acting, I didn’t even know what continuity was on set. One day, we’re in between shooting, I don’t remember who said it but someone said, ‘Bring me a nigga. At first I didn’t understand anything and thought I heard wrong. Then, when this was repeated, I thought ‘racist terms are coming back here’ and I almost made a comment. Then I saw that they are bringing black styrofoam to reduce the power of the light. Turns out they called the black of this Styrofoam black.”

Source of happiness: She is happy to work with Zeynep Günay Tan and Deniz Koloş in her first TV series. “They both said that I improved myself in each episode, which is very important. It was very important that this reflect on them as time passed, as they entered the role and the character settled in. Because it shows that I’ve internalized something. When I acted with real feeling, they told them it went very well. I honestly don’t remember any negative comments. Because both Zeynep Teacher and Deniz Teacher, it is beautiful when it is; when it was bad they would say it wasn’t. There would be no extra beautification or disparagement, which I think is the right approach.”

Her view of love: “I am not controlling in love and I expect this from the person in front of me. Insecurity is one of the biggest problems. If there is no trust, there is no relationship. Humor and sense of fun are also very important to me. It is very important for lovers to be friends. If you are in love but cannot be friends, there is no relationship.”

Her view on business: “Beauty is an advantage for casting because people want to see beautiful women and men on screen. But on the one hand, it makes it difficult because beauty causes prejudices in people. You were chosen just for your beauty, you can be treated as if you don’t have the talent. I think beauty is a very personal thing. I don’t believe in one body type. There is no such thing as perfect. Everyone has their own unique beauty.”

Career plan: It aims to progress in acting both in terms of education and project. “I would very much like to be involved in social aid projects. Since I’m studying law, this is a goal I’ve thought about for a long time and chosen not just for the short term, but for the long term.”

How is it with social media? She finds Twitter very confusing. She is actively using Instagram. “I want to look at hashtags on Twitter, but not all comments appear. A little tough for me. I am active on Instagram. I also have Facebook, but I keep it just so that I can easily contact people I haven’t seen or talked to for a long time.”

Bedside novel: Milan Kundera’s “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” and Hermann Hesse’s “Steppewolf”.

Which movie was he influenced by? The movie ‘Forest Gump’ is one of the movies that influenced her the most. The series she follows are; ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Shameless’ and ‘Narcos’.
