Family: Born and raised in Istanbul, his mother and father separated when he was kid, grew up with his mother, has an older sister. “My mom and dad were separate. They have a memory or two of their time together. I have a sister. My mother got married. I call her husband uncle. We grew up in his house. My sister is one year older than me and lives abroad. ”
Childhood years: The curiosity of acting started when he was in primary school. “I grew up very early. I haven’t experienced much about my childhood. There is no memory of my childhood when you think about it. Of course I was very happy. My family did not miss a thing. We went wherever we wanted. We had everything we wanted. My mother did everything she could. I was in elementary school, the team came to our school to choose a TV show. I was going to the 4th grade. It was my turn, when they asked what talent you have, I said I can imitate. When I said “ let’s do it ”, I was just stuck and embarrassed. Of course, we all do wonders on our own, but our hands are intertwined in someone else, even in the crowd. Even now, I can imitate characters or people that I wouldn’t think of when I am alone, but it can happen that I am embarrassed in front of someone. That was when my curiosity in this sector started to develop. I noticed that I don’t watch too much TV. There was a Power Rangers and a Ghoosebumps broadcast back to back, I was mostly watching them. This experience has changed my perspective on television. Then we grew up and other interests intervened and I turned to them first. When I was in high school, acting was not very popular, but my curiosity recurred and I shared the situation with my mother. Thanks to me, he was always behind me in this process, when I found an agency and signed up, this is how my story started. ”
Educational life: He graduated from Beykent University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Acting.
First step into acting: He started his television adventure with the character ‘Efecan’ in the TV series ‘My Magic Mother’ in 2011.
With which project did he shine? He drew attention with the character “Doruk”, which he portrayed in the “Medcezir” TV series.
Turning point of his career: He sees the series ‘Medcezir’ as the turning point of his career. “It was a normal classic day, I’m sitting. A message from a friend I haven’t seen for a long time was dropped on my Twitter; ‘Batuhan how are you? Are you around in the summer? We will recommend you for a job, “he says. About 1.5 months later, I got the phone that I was going to have a meeting with. There is no series name, nothing is clear, all I know is I’m going to Ay Yapım. Anyway, get up in the morning, get dressed, get ready and go. We had our meeting and played the pages we need to play, and then while we were waiting, we met our second director, Deniz Hoca. He told me about Doruk and Burak. I think he was saying we found our Climax. We had a long conversation and left the building. After 1 month, I learned that I was included in the Medcezir staff. I cannot express the happiness I was experiencing at that moment in any word. For two seasons, Medcezir addressed a very large audience, whether young or old or any professional group. I think it was an excellent job. On the first day, I started the set by saying “Yes Batuhan, now this is the place where you will show what you have learned.” On the other hand, Medcezir set also; For me, I can say that it was a school where I gained a lot of experience and knowledge, as if I was doing a master’s degree for 2 years. ”
Personality traits: There are a lot of things that I can not do in life, such as harmonious, cheerful, energetic, uncomplicated. Since I attach great importance to belonging, whatever the object is, it belongs to its owner and cannot be taken by someone else without permission. Apart from that, my sense of justice is very developed, I find the right to do anything someone does to me, after all, everything must be fair, right? I think too much about everything. This makes me more warrant and protective against life. Now I have settled on this so much that my thinking time before taking a step is short. I’m very impulsive. After 5 minutes I can say things that I might regret. I often say ‘I wish I could hold my tongue’.
Personal development: He thinks there is no end to learning in his profession. He still attends workshops and works with actor coaches. For example, we worked with Ümit Çırak for a while to bring the Aegean character to life in “The Story of Summer”. I started Academy 35.5 for my first training experience. The feeling at the first entrance is very different because you sit at the same table with the people you watch on TV, have tea and interview, and then you enter the same classes and start to smell the same atmosphere. At that moment, you watch how they got into the role and you admire them. Over time, you remember over and over why they called them grand masters. Altan Saw, Vahide Perçin, Uğur Demirpehlivan. I am grateful to all of them. Come time, the academy is over. Vahide Hodja said, “There is no end to learning in this business, let’s go to university” and drew a new path for me. I followed that route and decided to study the university in a department related to this sector. I enrolled in Beykent University Acting Department. ”
Social: He has a passion for motorcycles. He likes to ride his motorcycle in his spare time. “I have a big toy (my motorcycle), I usually spend my free time with it. Apart from that, I don’t like to miss movies in the cinema, every movie shot, every book written, every game played is art. The person he admires: He admires Şener Şen. “Of course, there are names where we change our mouths and noses while watching, come on, how did it do that, how it made that sound. If I go to the masters, there is someone like Şener Şen in the world. Something like the very cinema for me. Sometimes on the set, I make and build sentences like saying I should have done this when my scene is like this. Şener Şen does not have this, we watch and see. In a word, master. ”
Her look at love: “I love the man I turned into when I was in love. I am enjoying and enjoying life. ”
View of life: He defines himself as a man who grew up early, was strong at work, in his own life. “I love order in my life, I am a guarantor and do what I enjoy. His view of business life: There are no rules and limits in acting. He watches and often criticizes him. “I think there should be no limit for those doing this job. I watch and criticize myself. I even find fault when I feel I’m doing best. But that’s not a strange thing, I think. I feel like this. I also think I am ambitious. I get mad at myself, even when I do well, I find something to criticize my work. I look at where the people I set out with, where I am. I suggest myself that I should be better. I am a person who likes to work constantly and is motivated by working, so I cannot stay away from the screen for long. I think I can do this job until I die. When acting is loved, it is a profession that adds a lot to people and enjoys as they perform. Other than that, I always wanted to have a small cafe of my own. On the one hand, I think I will make it happen. In the future, he opens a cafe and I even stand by him and serve it myself. Why not?”
Career plan: He always wants to play different characters. ” I would like to play weak characters, both material and spiritual, weak. Apart from that, I also imagine myself in a character that would make the audience say, “No more, how did this child come out?”. In fact, I wanted so much that even when there was no such character, I sometimes find myself collecting materials and creating people with these materials. We see him on the street, look what kind of guy we call this guy, and I sit and watch them. I often say, “Each one is a cinema on its own.” I also want to play comedy, it could be an absurd comedy. I’ll do whatever the script requires. I consider it not as a hobby, but as a profession. ”
Dream of the Future: His dream is to come to the best place he can come in his profession. He also wants to direct in the future. “There is no end to learning and being satisfied in this business. My goal; at the beautiful points that I will arrive, people saying, “This child came here deserving by working, scraping with his nails.” That’s why I work really hard. I would love to act in a movie. Because one of the most important platforms where you can show yourself and your acting is cinema. Maybe it’s a cliché, but I want a direction. Acting is fun, of course, but it does a great job of attracting the players and combining the performances with the best eye. That is why I have always carefully followed the paths and preferred methods of my directors with whom I worked. ”
Who does he admire? “I don’t have idols, but there are people I love, appreciate and wonder about. For example, I love Robert Dawney JR. I am very curious to see what kind of head the people I really like go through while playing. I try to follow the interviews when they have interviews. ”
The criterion of attractiveness in women: He finds attractive women who are smart and know what they want. “I have to be friends with the person in my life. I shouldn’t be afraid to talk about anything. When I go somewhere and get some attention there, I have to tell him about it without hesitation. I shouldn’t have a trip.
