I am very happy to be in different sectors. Because we both have different stories to tell each other when we return home. This is my choice of course. Sometimes we can have funny situations at home, sometimes my husband helps me while memorizing my role. I am an actress who repeats a lot of lines at home, to make it natural. For this reason, I make my wife a little crazy. ”
Childhood years: When she went to kindergarten and when she played in the garden, she always had that playful child in her. “I think I had a good childhood. I was one of those children who could play in the garden and return home in bruises. But even among the games we played in the garden, there were films, theaters, sketches. One of my friends would be a director, someone would be a scriptwriter, I would be an actor, we would say, “Come on, we’re shooting this” or we would play Turkish movies we watched. During my student life, I always took part in theater, acting and writing clubs. I also read the Public Administration Department honestly to say “Have a gold bracelet on your arm”. My desire to play as a child still continues. ”
Educational life: He took part in theater clubs during her student years. She graduated from the Public Administration Department. In 2009, she started to study at the Academy 35.5 Art House and while working on performing arts with names such as Vahide Perçin and Altan Gördüm, she also received diction and vocalization training from leading names of the sector such as Murat Atıl and Sungun Babacan.
First step into acting: She started her television adventure in 2010 with the TV series ‘Love and Punishment’.
With which project did se shine? She drew attention with the character “Ceyda” in the “Woman” series.
Personality traits: Determined, planned, hardworking, idealistic.
Social: She makes an effort to spend time with her friends in her spare time. She also loves to travel. “I used to have more free time and I used to work ‘city’ when I was at home. First of all, I do a research about cities and find a cheap flight ticket, and I immediately go on a trip. I have never been a person with a greed. I prefer to allocate every opportunity and opportunity I find to new experiences. At the same time, watching games and going to the movies whenever possible are of course my sine qua non. ”
Mindset: As she started her acting journey, there were some changes in her thinking. She freed herself more and began to be more honest with herself, accepting her feelings. “Especially these three made me a different person in my personal and social life. In terms of career, there have been changes in my life after the “Woman” series. I know more, I am known. More people see me, but I don’t attribute too much meaning to it either. I hope it will be as enjoyable after that. I don’t make big plans in life, I prefer not to say big words. I don’t think anyone has the right to talk big about something that hasn’t happened to them. ”
What kind of person is she on set? When preparing for a new character, the first thing she does is try to understand the character. She tries to understand her past, her life, her perspective on life. “As you start working on that character, you start to discover things about yourself. You start to question yourself as you think about how the character will react to the situations they encounter. Over time, this journey begins to become such a journey that you start to be more honest with yourself. Therefore, you are “honest” about the character you play. This situation is a process that feeds each other. “
The source of happiness: Her job is the biggest source of happiness. “Acting allowed me to be a better person. I think trying to understand a different character gradually turns into a process where you treat yourself. ”
First motion picture: A. Taner Elhan / Kadın İşi: Banka Soygunu
Her view of life: She has goals and works hard to achieve them, but she is not overwhelmed by them. She based her order on doing what she is happy with, with people she is generally happy with. “Already,‘ Life; I truly believe that they are the ones we come across when we make other plans. I also strongly believe in devotion. If I were not an actor, if I had another profession, I would still dedicate myself to that job and give all my strength. No matter what work I do, I would try to add my own creative touch. I did this for acting, too. I have a lot of respect for those who do their job with respect. In addition, every job has difficulties in today’s conditions. In this sense, I do not put acting in a sacred place. My current advantage is that I am doing what I love and that I am pulling all the challenges for the job I choose. I know the value of this too. If you are already doing a job you love, I think it never gets easier. It’s not about the ambition to be successful, but you want to bring that job to a better point, you want to try different things. Therefore, your learning process continues. Each time your learning, working process begins again. In other words, although the process never gets easier, it never comes to me. I know I will never say it’s okay now. And I do not see anything I do as a sacrifice. I had a dream and I’m still working for it. ”
Her view of business life: When she decided to become an actress, she wasn’t looking for anything but she found a lot. “I’m just at the beginning of the road. I wasn’t looking for anything in particular, but I found a lot. In general, acting adds a lot to people’s lives. Your perception is growing, your awareness is increasing. Your empathy is increasing. Your prejudices are removed. The state of researching different characters, different lives, wondering, trying to understand, I think the biggest contribution of acting.
Career plan: She just wants to play. So her only goal in this regard is; to do justice to the role it plays. “I hope I can do justice to any character I try to take on. I can make them real. I am in every role if I can give it its due. I took part in comedy in cinema, it is very enjoyable and I think it is difficult. We already have a hard enough life. How happy if we can make people laugh. Of course, I want to play in other genres and give life to different characters in the future. I also have works such as script and lyrics. ‘Writing lyrics for The Little Prince Musical was a first for me. I wasn’t even aware that I could do such a thing. Thanks to this musical, I had the opportunity to work with Yücel Arzen, a very important musician. He also guided me musically while writing the lyrics. We were a harmonious team of three. The rest came easily. ”
Future Dream: Her only dream is to try to make the character she brings to life come true. She wants to play any role she can do. “You have to do justice to the character you play. Even if you are playing bad, you are not playing “I will do evil now, how nice!” You look for the reasons in that evil, you find them, you try to justify the character you play. Acting forces us to understand completely different lives and completely different people. So you start not judging people. ”
What does he recommend to those who want to be actors? He points out that three qualities are very important for a person who wants to be an actor. ‘Talent, hard work and discipline’. “I just don’t believe in talent; I think a very talented person can pass a hard worker. If he really wants to be an actor, he has to be disciplined and also work hard. Of course I do not ignore talent. When I talked to many people, he told me that education is not that important. I respect them too. I read a quote from Jack Nicholson. ‘Nobody teaches you how to act. Actually, the method is to use what works for you. “I think so too. Acting is a personal journey and increasingly becoming your lifestyle. Observing, learning, exploring becomes a natural part of your life and it should. ”
Concerns: Violence against women and murder of women are the subjects of his greatest concern. “There are so many things to say. But the urgent need to be done is to use the power we have, and that is the protection law numbered 6284 and the Istanbul Convention. The law needs to be implemented. I recently read that there was a decrease in femicide in the year the Istanbul Convention was signed. I closely follow the “We Will Stop Femicide” platform. 53 women were killed last September. Most of them are killed by people they know. Nine of these 53 people were killed just because they made a decision about their own life. And this savagery is not sudden, angered murders, women are killed on a planned schedule. If a gun, knife, plastic handcuffs and rope come out of the man who was taken into custody upon the notice, no one can tell me that it was momentary anger. We must be against all forms of violence. Without distinguishing between women, men, people and animals. We cannot normalize violence by hiding behind words such as tradition, tradition and culture. Underlining that the problem is a human rights struggle, continue the struggle together. ”
What does she do at home? She loves reading books as well as meeting her personal needs after taking care of household chores when she is at home. “Especially when I am stressed, I move to another world and calm down thanks to books. Fortunately, those who tell other lives; Fortunately, there are those who tell our stories better than we do most of what we personally experienced or felt. Fortunately, there are those who convey the lives we are not even aware of to us with their full reality. Reading is a must for me. ”
What kind of movies does she watch? Although she does not like horror movies, she tries to watch every genre and follow the world cinema as much as she can. “I am careful not to miss the festivals. Getting to know new directors and discovering different perspectives both gives pleasure as an audience and contributes to my acting. ”
What types of books does she read? She cannot categorize books because she loves reading books. “Although I mainly read novels, I always have a poetry book at my bedside; It’s like a rest once in a while, an escape to another world. I open it, read two or three pages and come back to life. Experiment in the same way. I return to read it periodically and then return to my novel. It also depends on my mood. It is raining I want to study magical realism. I am going on vacation and studying underground literature. Last year, Leyla Erbil was not falling out of my hand. This summer, I read “Women Who Run with the Wolves” slowly, unwillingly, without wanting to end. But among all these, “Mice and Humans” has a special place. I was in mid 1 when I read it. I established such a connection with the book. I miss a book every 4-5 years and read it again. ”
