Family: His mother is a mathematical engineer and his father is an economics graduate. His decision to become an actor while studying at the Department of Physics Engineering at ITU was not supported by his family at first. “There is no one in my family who is interested in art. My mother was a little uncomfortable at first and objected. She didn’t come to watch any of my games in the first year. After the second year came and watched me, everything got better.”
Education life: While studying Physics Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), he left the school in the 3rd grade and studied acting at Kadir Has University Theater Department with a scholarship. He holds a Masters in Performance from Goldsmiths University, London.
A turning point in his life: While he was studying at the Department of Physics Engineering at ITU, after a while, he felt socially lacking and started to search, and the course of his life changed.
The first step into acting: He started his television adventure in 2011 with the character of ‘Zeki’, which he portrayed in the TV series ‘Pis Yedili’. The Pis Yedili (Dirty Seven) series made it known to a wide audience. While he was going to university, he was selected for the Pis Yedili TV series. The character of ‘Zeki’ in the series emerged after Gani Müjde liked Erlim’s acting.
First feature film: Çağan Irmak/ Nadide Hayat
Career plan: He went to London to do his master’s degree in the final episodes of The Pis Yedili. “After the series, they asked me to play very similar roles. At that time, I did not look very warmly. I did not accept them in an over idealistic way. I had to choose, so I went to London. Maybe if I had stayed here, my career would have progressed in a different way. I saved the money I earned from the show. I took a loan on it, and with that money, I got a master’s degree in theater in England.”
Future Dream; “As for the future, I wish the pandemic to end as soon as possible and the theaters meet with the audience as before.”
