STORY
The series “Magnificent Century” was the subject of the great love of Sultan Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent and Hürrem Sultan, who marked the history of the Ottoman Empire. The series begins with Süleyman, who is still a prince, on the throne after the death of his father Yavuz Sultan Selim and falling in love with Hürrem Sultan, who was brought to the palace harem as a concubine. Mahidevran Sultan, the mother of Valide Sultan, İbrahim Paşa and Şehzade Mustafa, is the biggest obstacle to the game of power that Hürrem Sultan started for revenge. During the 4 seasons of Hürrem Sultan, who entered the power struggle for Kanuni Sultan Süleyman and his sons, who are caught between his love and his state, locked millions per screen.
PLACES
Topkapı Palace was rebuilt for the Magnificent Century, shot in TEM studios in Hadımköy. There were 12 different spaces among the decorations prepared on an area of 2100 square meters. The set, prepared with a preparation budget of 3.5 million lira, was made ready for shooting with months of work.
The decor, which was established on the basis of artistic and cultural visuals in the palace during the Ottoman period, included the courtyard of the Topkapı Palace, Altınyol, Harem, Hasoda, Supply room, Hünkâr Sofası, kitchen and ship simulation. After the shooting of the series ended, a part of the Magnificent Century set was moved and visited many countries of the world as an exhibition.
