Show TV showed Üç Kuruş as a candidate for the new phenomenon series on Monday evenings in the new season. Üç Kuruş has been called Çukur’s name since the day it was first launched. It was almost as if the signs were given that the production of a new phenomenon was coming.
As such, the expectation of the audience was high. However, this would be a disadvantage for any project that would come after a strong and screen-shattering production like Çukur! And that’s how it was for Üç Kuruş! Üç Kuruş, which started the season almost in the shadow of Çukur, took the opposite attitude from the audience when the expectations were very high.
If the series starring Uraz Kaygılaroğlu and Ekin Koç had been brought to the screen without ever mentioning Çukur, as a story set in a Roman neighborhood, the situation would have been different! When the expectation was built on Çukur’s success and phenomenon from the beginning, the Üç Kuruş series already came to the screen with a big claim.
The audience also sought Çukur in this new production. Üç Kuruş was shown as a sequel for those who miss the unforgettable series Çukur. However, this situation inadvertently weakened the production, which was already strong with its acting and story, instead of strengthening it!

It’s almost as if starting in the shadow of Çukur has created a negative situation for Üç Kuruş!
After the TV series Yasak Elma, which was broadcast on Monday evenings and even in its 5th season, and the new production of the screen and the ambitious production of Alparslan Büyük Selçuklu TV series, Üç Kuruş can only find a 3rd place in a meaningful way!
