Ahmet Olgun Sünear, who gave life to Infantry Specialist Sergeant Selçuk Türker in the series, talked about his character. The actor, who is the machine gun shooter of the team, is very satisfied with this role.
Ahmet Olgun Sünear, “Heavy machine gun sniper of the team. Therefore, it represents the shooting and muscle strength of the team. Due to his high energy, he is a character who usually gets very hungry and eats a lot. He’s been part of the team for ten years. One of his dreams is to become an officer one day,” he said.
Mentioning that the education process has helped them a lot in becoming a team, the young actor feels the difference of being involved in a project like Al Sancak, which tells about the heroism of Turkish soldiers.
The actor says, “The military was not an environment where I was unfamiliar. That’s why it wasn’t hard to find military discipline in me. We had an intensive technical training process. This allowed us to achieve a high quality in terms of weapon use and tactical information as operators. Our long intensive training process also helped us a lot on the way to become a team.”
“Reviving Selcuk is a source of pride”
Olgun Sünear’s father is also a soldier. That’s why, with the difference of being an officer’s child, he experiences different feelings in the Al Sancak series.
The actor said, “As the son of a retired officer, it is a source of pride for me to play a member of the Turkish Armed Forces.”
