Famous actress Birce Akalay continues to be on the agenda with both Kuş Uçuşu (Bird Flight) and Mezarlık (Cemetery9 series. The digital series called Kuş Uçuşu, which met with the audience at the beginning of June on Netflix, received great acclaim. The actress, who met with İbrahim Çelikkol on the same set after many years, also took part in very influential scenes with Miray Daner.
The Kuş Uçuşu series achieved great success in many countries as well as Turkey, and a result that surpassed even the predictions of Birce Akalay, who watched this situation with surprise. Satisfied with this situation, the actress announced that the second season of the series would be her priority project.
The actress, who played a detective in the 4-part film series called Mezarlık, shared the lead role with Olgun Toker. The actress, who appeared before the audience as a police officer investigating femicide in the cemetery project, received very positive comments.
Birce Akalay, who recently received applause from her fans on Netflix with two different projects, is also getting new project offers for the new season.
The actress previously said that she did not want to make a clear agreement for the release of both Kuş Uçuşu and Mezarlık projects, and because they could be sequels. While both projects were highly appreciated, Birce Akalay received an offer from Oktay Kaynarca most recently.
After his success in Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz (The Bandits), Oktay Kaynarca will take the lead role in the new series of the company, of which he is also a partner, in Ben Bu Cihana Sığmazam (I Can’t Fit In This World). Kaynarca, who also made an offer to his close friend Birce Akalay, had not yet received a positive response.
Birce Akalay answered the questions of journalists at the event she attended. Birce Akalay, who said that her work was going very well and that she was satisfied, spoke as follows about the reactions from the Kuş Uçuşu audience:
“I knew it would be successful, but I did not expect that it would be appreciated around the world, that it would get such a good response, I could not foresee it. There were some countries that I believed would be successful. I had predictions, I never thought it would be loved this much.”
Birce Akalay returned to Istanbul after a holiday in Bodrum. The actress, who wants to work this summer, explained that the course of business requires this.
The actress, who does not have a clear agreement yet, said, “We are hearing good things that there may be a second season of Kuş Uçuşu. She is my priority for her, it will be clear soon. According to the decision to be made from there, I will look at what I can do on television. I also missed the television audience, being on the screen. But right now, I can say that my priority is Kuş Uçuşu”.
