Kanal D’s TV series Dilek Taşı (Wishing Stone), which has been much talked about since its first episode, brings the 1980s, Turkey’s most stormy years in every respect, to the screen with all its transparency.
The series, which meets with the audience on Wednesday evenings, tells the story of the reunion of Mustafa and his daughter, while also conveying the social and political atmosphere of that period to the audience in an emotional way.
The torture scenes in the last episode of the series, which has been on the agenda every week with its strong script and successful cast, were as realistic as possible.
Ozan Dolunay, who plays the character Kenan in the series, described the scene shooting, which lasted approximately 5 hours, with the following words:
“Before the scenes, I tried to understand the effects of torture and electric current on the body and watched a few similar scenes and videos of people getting electrocuted. I felt very helpless and stressed while the torture scenes were being shot. “I realized that torture is meant to create a psychological break in people rather than physical pain.”
In the last episode of the series, Kenan (Ozan Dolunay), who was arrested on suspicion of being a member of the organization, is interrogated because of Dündar’s conspiracy.
What was done to Kenan, whose arms and legs were tied and tortured with electricity, reminded the audience of the undesirable events that took place in the 80s.
