Özgü Kaya, who gave life to the character of “Türkan” in Detay-Kanal D’s TV series Üç Kız Kardeş (Three Sisters), is one of the most striking screen faces of the season.
Well, did you know that the famous star, who made a name for herself with her acting, actually received music education? The famous actress became an actor by chance while she was studying at the Opera Department of the Istanbul State Conservatory.
In an interview with Hürriyet Newspaper, Özgü Kaya stated that she started music with the encouragement of her family and said, “My father gave me a guitar in primary school and I learned to play the guitar with enthusiasm. I took singing and piano lessons in secondary school.
Then I got the fine arts. I studied at the music department, and then I entered the Opera Department of the Istanbul State Conservatory, I couldn’t finish it because I was working, but it is among my goals.”
The actress, who said that she came to Istanbul to make music, had no acting in mind. “Life led me to this sector by chance comparing me with many people,” says Özgü Kaya.
The beautiful actress, encouraged by her teachers by saying, “You have a very mediatic face, you can try”, although she abstained, formed an audience with the videos she shot while singing on social media and started to receive series offers.
Özgü Kaya, who stepped into the sets with the TV series Adı Efsane (Named Legend), also receives musical offers, but says she doesn’t want to rush.
The actress describes her goal in this regard with the following words; “I am a perfectionist about music since it has been my occupation, education and life since childhood. I would like to do it in a time period where I will give all my focus to music. I would love to be in a musical as I am both acting and have musical goals. “
