Gönül Dağı (Gönül Mountain), which reflects the sincere and heartfelt feelings of the Anatolian people on TRT 1 screens with their interesting life stories and has won the hearts of people, has many heroes working behind the camera, as well as its master cast.
Edanur Yılmaz, who adds color to Gönül Dağı folk songs with her clear, impressive interpretation and voice, is one of these heroes. We will watch Yılmaz in the character of Asuman’s student Beyza in the 129th episode, which will be broadcast on Saturday, March 2nd. She is very pleased to participate in the TV series Gönül Dağı with Edanur Yılmaz.
Explaining how excited she was when she received the call for the offer, Edanur Yılmaz expressed her feelings with the following words:
“It is not possible to describe the excitement I felt when I received that call. Having established a heartfelt connection with millions of people with her work ‘Fate’, it made me very, very happy to be addressing the audience from the television screen. “I was also very honored that our Producer Ferhat Eşsiz trusted me and made such an offer.”
Giving information about herself, Edanur Yılmaz stated that she received training in music and graduated from the conservatory and said the following:
“I am 27 years old. I was born and raised in Ankara, I am originally from Kırşehir. In fact, it was very meaningful for me that the competition was held in Kırşehir in the scenario. While I was in third year of high school, I took the exams of TRT Ankara Radio Turkish Folk Music Youth Choir, passed it and received training for 4 years. My adventure of playing baglama started with my father when I won the TRT choir. There are no musicians in our family, but my father plays baglama.
I learned to play baglama from my father without taking any courses. Later, when I breathed the air of TRT’s studio full of old experiences, I decided to study at the conservatory.
Because I was very happy while doing this. I was accepted and graduated from Afyon Kocatepe University State Conservatory, Department of Turkish Art Music Voice Training. Along with baglama, I can play oud, guitar and a little piano.
I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Music at Afyon Kocatepe University. I also teach music. My encounter with the series started with me singing and uploading a song from the series on Instagram.
Every time I saw the series on television, I wished I could sing a piece in this series… The video I posted received a good number of views and likes. Gökhan Üçel, who wrote the lyrics of the works, reached me, and then Producer Ferhat Eşsiz, and we were able to deliver that beautiful work to millions, to you.”
