Erkan Petekkaya’s name has been on the agenda recently with the news that TV8 will return to Kırmızı Oda series, but then the final decision was made about the series.
The actor, who is on the agenda of the press with the news that he occasionally drinks alcohol and exhibits aggressive attitudes, was the guest of Bire Bir program with Fatih Altaylı, broadcast on Bloomberg HT. The actor made very specific statements about his private life in the program.
Petekkaya, who admitted that he had an alcohol problem, said that he went to Russia for treatment and said, “I went to Russia for my alcohol problem. They burned my brain! A doctor gave me an injection. He said, ‘After this injection, you will sleep for 24 hours and you will never want to drink again.’ I said, ‘I came for this, do it’. I actually slept for 24 hours after the injection and didn’t want any drinks after waking up. It took 6 months,” he said.
Petekkaya also made candid statements about his acting adventure in the program. Petekkaya; “I studied theatre. I had zero talent, I wanted to be an ambassador. One day, I saw a girl at the bus stop in Altınyol, Kadıköy. He got on the 16 Pendik bus, I had only one ticket, and I followed him. We met. He was doing theater and he invited me to rehearsal. I started to go. One day a actor did not come. They said to me, ‘Can you read this?’ I went on stage. Something happened inside of me. I said, ‘I don’t want to be an ambassador, I will be an actor.'” surprised by his statement.
Erkan Petekkaya’s words; “I was 17 years old. Theater did not have a T in my life until that day. I took lessons, they said, ‘Nothing will happen without this digging.’ I took the conservatory exam in Eskişehir to stay away from family and be free, and I won. Luck helped, but I also worked hard.”
The famous actor, who mentioned that he had mistakes in the past, said, “Actually not, but for me, they say, ‘There is an anger control problem’. If I say to someone, ‘Come on, dear!’ they enlarge. Actually, I don’t think I’m a bad person. I drank a little, of course, my mistakes were because of him.” he said.
