Artists News For Yiğit Özşener, the TV series Şahane Hayatım means finding an oasis in the desert!

For Yiğit Özşener, the TV series Şahane Hayatım means finding an oasis in the desert!

There is now a new series on Fox TV that is likely to attract a wide audience on Wednesday evenings. The first episode of the new TV series project called Şahane Hayatım (My Wonderful Life) was very successful.

It was very important that the ratings of the series, which received positive comments from the audience on social media, were above average. The TV series Şahane Hayatım, which has made a good start, stands out with its strong cast and different story.

Great efforts were made for the series starring Hilal Altınbilek, Onur Tuna, Yiğit Özşener, Serkan Keskin, Nesrin Cavadzade, Sumru Yavrucuk, Gökçe Eyüboğlu. Even bringing together such a cast is no easy task.

Yiğit Özşener was also very suitable for the character named Onur, who comes from an aristocratic family in the series. The master actor started to display his talents in creating characters on the screen again.

Stating that he has not read such a good script for a long time, Yiğit Özşener said the following about the story:

“To be honest, for a long time, when I receive a script, I first look at the female characters. Because this is the issue that has bothered me the most in recent years. In recent years, many scenarios have been implemented that serve to deprive women of their identity, to see them as the property of their fathers, husbands and lovers, and to perceive them as consumption objects.

This positioning of female characters also affects the writing of male characters. I believe that it is not right to see our work as just a means of entertainment, especially in a country where television series have such a strong impact on the audience.

There is already a clause in my contracts stating that I will not take part in scenes that involve psychological and physical violence against women. When I read the script of Şahane Hayatım, I was relieved that it was a story in which I would not have such concerns. In a sense, it felt like I found an oasis in the desert.”

Underlining that the character Onur he portrays comes from an aristocratic family, the famous actor appeared before the audience with the story of a rich man.

Yiğit Özşener’s evaluations about the character are as follows:

“ Onur comes from an aristocratic family. We can think of it as the third generation of one of Turkey’s richest and most established families. A well-educated, cultured and visionary businessman. There was a childhood love; The daughter of a family equal to her own. While everyone, especially his mother, was waiting for him to marry this ideal bride-to-be… Surprise! He married a girl named Şebnem. Love at first sight? A big deception? Is it a game of fate? We will see it. I don’t want to give too many clues, but this character has a twist. You know how they say love is labor? Maybe not. Maybe labor is love. Because no one will give you away just because you did something nice for them. The one who loves you will do something good for you. “I think this will be Onur’s test in life.”

Stating that screenwriter Meriç Acemi did a very good job in positioning the characters, Yiğit Özşener said that the difference of the characters also had an impact on his acceptance of the project.

The famous actor gave the following information on this subject:

“Meriç does not code her characters as angels and devils, but clings to the fact that each of them is human. She doesn’t step on one character to grow another, she doesn’t protect any character, she lets them go with the flow of life… She lets them breathe, exist with their flaws, make mistakes, and pay the price. These are things that require courage for screenwriters who write for television; Because most of the time, they are forced to act with the prejudice of what television viewers like and what they don’t like. Of course, it is also very critical that such a brave writer meets directors who are not afraid of contradictions. Even though we are working for the first time, I feel that Çağrı and Ezgi have stepped up the scenario. “It will be the work of a team that does not say ‘Let’s do a job that has been done many times before, let’s do it once again’, and this is perhaps the most obvious difference.”
