OVERALL IMPRESSION:
Between 2009-2010, when the Grand Bazaar series was broadcast on ATV, it made a name for itself both with its subject and its strong cast. Although the series did not get very high ratings, it gained an entrenched audience. Nejat İşler, the leading actor of the series, left the series after the 15th episode.
In the news published at that time, it was claimed that İşler was removed from the squad by the production company because he came to the set with alcohol. Following Nejat İşler, Engin Altan Düzyatan was included in the series as fresh blood. However, the series was ended with the 38th episode on the grounds that it received a low rating.
STORY:
The series tells the story of people who are after a miracle in the magical atmosphere of the Grand Bazaar. The paths of three close friends and a young girl from a town, struggling with lack of money and trying to tear from this life, cross in the Grand Bazaar.
Cemal (Nejat İşler) is a courageous young man who was orphaned at a young age but learned to stand on his own feet quickly. He works in the carpet shop in the Grand Bazaar of his master Ziya (Erkan Can), whom he calls “Father.” He has only one dream; earning a lot of money and tearing off this life.
Diyar (Aslı Tandoğan) is a teacher in a carpet weaving workshop in Hereke. She is the most beautiful girl in town. She is determined not to chase after any human, any work she is not attached to with love. Mahmut (Olgun Şimşek) is a man with a cotton heart who is used to covering his sadness with his joy. They work with Cemal and live in the same house. The only thing he is unfortunate about is women. Mahmut’s big dream with a sad story in his past is to complete that story one day. Arda (Mert Fırat) is a handsome, cute, bouncy flirtatious. Arda, who works in the jewelery store, constantly flirts with tourist girls. And of course she is always “successful”! Its whole purpose is to conquer the hearts of all women of the world.
While these three close friends who grew up in the Grand Bazaar think that a miracle is needed to realize their dreams, Zeze confronts them. This little girl has fine, tulle-like fingers. Cemal thinks that thanks to these tulle fingers, you can weave a miracle carpet that has never been done before. Once they sell that carpet, it’s okay now, it means they ripped it off. Thus, their paths cross with the Realm. But things are not that easy at all. On the one hand, the master’s own son and Cemal’s arch-rival, on the one hand, the father of Diyar and her sausage merchant word, on the other hand, the unknown enemies will do their best to prevent their dreams.
Destiny has brought together these four people, each struggling against their destiny. And they turn into miracles in the pursuit of a miracle.
