Actress Hande Ataizi, who successfully portrayed the character of “Cana” in Kanal D’s “Camdaki Kız” series, gave an interview to Cumhuriyet Newspaper.
The actress, who took part in many productions that made a sound and returned to the screen with the role of ‘Cana’ after a long hiatus, explained the process of creating the character with these words; “A man cannot be purely bad, nor can she be wholly good. There is a potential in all of us to be good and bad that can emerge in different circumstances. When I give life to a role, whether it is a sweet Ruhsar-style comedy or a drama, I first determine the character on its own terms.
Then I identify a few features that may seem sympathetic to people in that character. If she is a character who does not follow the rules from the outside, there are reasons for this, and the screenwriter does not have to write those reasons. Also, that character belongs to you as an actress.
In real life, we avoid boring people, not those who do us harm. While looking at the other characters in the drama and determining Cana’s rhythm, I chose to bring out the higher pitched and pure human form as possible so that it would never be boring.”
The actress, who draws attention with her fit image on the screens, answered “27 years old” when asked about the age at which she felt and positioned herself beyond her biological age. Saying, “For some reason, I chose to stay at this age,” Hande Atazizi continued her words as follows;
“The best habit I have had in my life has been sports. My family has been very supportive for this. I played tennis during my school years. I spent my childhood in the ski camps of Body Training. I was 16 when I first went to the gym. I never left after that. Those muscles were always in motion. This is how I relax.
My brother Sinan, for example, has nothing to do with it. I gifted a gym membership a few times, but it didn’t work. I think everyone should choose a sport that is good for them and if they do it without getting bored, I think it would be more beneficial. And of course the elections. If you are living a life where you are not happy, your brain and body are already giving you that signal. It says “change it’s not your best, you can do better.”
