The consequences of Fox TV’s broadcasting one series after another and broadcasting them on the screen without promoting them enough and attracting the audience continue to be heavy. One of these TV series is Darmaduman. Launched as a domestic adaptation of the Beverly Hills series, Darmaduman is a series that started off with a very successful cast, but did not affect the audience enough as a story.
The ratings of the series, which Fox TV first broadcasts on Thursday evenings and then shifts to Saturday evenings, do not seem very positive. It has been proven once again that rating cannot be achieved by bringing together the prominent players of the last period such as Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Hafsanur Sancaktutan, Aytaç Şaşmaz and Aslıhan Malbora.
There are interviews with the actors and social media posts, and efforts are made to attract attention to the Darmaduman series, but the fact that this is a hopeless case remains obvious. The fate of the series, which did not receive enough response from the audience, remains a question mark.
There has been an effort made to promote the series lately, and we see that Fox TV is showing a little more patience instead of taking the production to the final as it used to be. If it were last year, the Darmaduman series would have been canceled by now.
The fate of the series, which has 6 episodes so far, is still uncertain, but considering the cast, it is difficult to explain how such a great production had to struggle to survive with such low ratings.
Viewers no longer choose to watch a drama based on the cast, unless it’s a very strong script. First of all, a very good script has become an indispensable condition for all projects.
