Another young and talented actress has joined the Gönül Dağı (Gönül Mountain) cast, which has been loved since the first episode of TRT 1, whose fans are increasing day by day and breaking rating records every Saturday: İpek Uzkalan…
İpek Uzkalan, who participated in the series shot in Eskişehir Sivrihisar from Eskişehir, works both as an actress and as an instructor at Odunpazarı Municipality Theatre. In Gönül Dağı, the young actress plays the character of Reyhan, who escapes from the pain she experiences and takes shelter in Gedelli, and is helped by Hamdi under his wing.
It is not easy to portray Reyhan, a woman who has experienced great pain with her child. İpek Uzkalan talked about the importance of the Reyhan character, which Hamdi adopted and helped, and said:
“Reyhan is a very brave woman, she has a spirit that does not accept a life she does not want with her little baby in her arms and struggles against all kinds of difficulties. “At the same time, she is very compassionate… This feeling of compassion stems from her high sense of empathy towards people rather than being a mother.”
Reyhan is a solution-oriented and logical woman… Sometimes she is as delicate as a flower, sometimes she is rebellious, proud and strong… İpek Uzkalan, who has to convey such different emotions to the audience, shines with her successful performance in her role.
Uzkalan, who has been both teaching and acting at Eskişehir Odunpazarı Municipal Theater since 2016, brings theater and TV series together. The actress said, “My theater studies continue and we even started a theater project whose subject fascinates me very much. I am excitedly waiting for the play to be released.”
Gönül Dağı has been broadcast on TRT1 for four seasons and attracts millions of viewers. İpek Uzkalan, who achieved a good breakthrough and recognition in her career by taking part in such an important production, explained the contribution of the project to her with the following words:
“Acting is a never-ending process of learning for me, and the more I learn, the more eager I am to apply it. The Gönül Dağı series was a different and beautiful step for me in this sense; It is a pleasure to discover, gain experience and learn something new from each of them, from the director to the cast, every set day… It is also privileged to be able to present my experience and knowledge in a project with a high audience…”
