Yakamoz S-245 series, starring Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Özge Özpirinçci, fell on the agenda like a bomb. Yakamoz S-245 series, which was shot a year ago and expected to be on the screen for a very long time, attracted great attention as soon as it was broadcast on Netflix.
Netflix’s long-awaited new series “Yakamoz S-245”, which also stars Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Özge Özpirinççi, as well as Meriç Aral, Onur Ünsal, Ecem Uzun, Ersin Arıcı and Hakan Salınmış, received harsh criticism. The critic is Retired Rear Admiral Cem Gürdeniz.
Cem Gürdeniz criticized the series with the words, “It humiliates our glorious navy and submarines, Turkish naval officers and non-commissioned officers.”
After a disaster that destroyed the world, retired Rear Admiral Cem Gürdeniz, who reacted to the series about the marine biologist Arman’s participation in the Yakamoz S-245 submarine, which was fighting for life and death with its crew, listed his criticisms on social media as follows.
“My views on the Netflix Yakamoz S245 series: 1- I’ve watched hundreds of maritime movies so far. I’ve never seen this bad. 2- The series humiliates our glorious navy and submarines, Turkish naval officers and non-commissioned officers. 3- Have you received permission from the State for this film?
Cem Gürdeniz then shared the following statements: “If you use our Navy’s officer, non-commissioned officer uniforms, symbols and submarine culture in a movie, you need to get permission from the interlocutors for this use, which is the monopoly of the state. It is announced to those who say why permission should be obtained to make a film.”
On the other hand, Yakamoz S-245 made a very quick entry to Netflix’s watch list. Yakamoz S-245, which was broadcast on Netflix on Wednesday, April 20, was broadcast simultaneously in 46 countries. One day after meeting the audience, it became one of the 10 most watched productions in 13 countries. It is expected that the viewership rates of the series will increase even more.
