Leaf Cast (Yaprak Dökümü) is a Turkish television series in the genre, drama and family, based on Reşat Nuri Güntekin’s book of the same name, which was broadcast on Kanal D between 2006-2010. The series, directed by Mesude Erarslan, continued for 5 seasons and left its mark on the screens.
The series, which starred famous names such as Halil Ergün, Güven Hokna, Bennu Yıldırımlar, Deniz Çakır, Gökçe Bahadır, Fahriye Evcen, and Ahmet Saraçoğlu, attracted great attention. The drama impressed audiences so much that it was talked about even years later, and its repeat episodes continued to be watched by large audiences. The series, which remained on the screen for a total of 5 seasons, was broadcast as 174 episodes.

OVERALL IMPRESSION:
The TV series Leaf Cast caught a successful rating chart from its release date to its final episode and became a phenomenon. Even the summaries and repetitions of the series have always been at the top of the rating lists. The story of Ali Rıza Bey and his family made the audience cry from time to time, sometimes laugh, and sometimes thought. Continuing its screen success for 5 seasons, the series received the “Best Local Series” award at the 35th Golden Butterfly Award Ceremony. Deniz Çakır, Gökçe Bahadır and Fahriye Evcen were the names that increased their popularity and gained fan masses thanks to the series.
STORY:
Ali Rıza Bey, who devoted his life to giving good ideas and clean personality to his five children, one of whom is a boy, resigned from his duty as district governor when he was asked to turn a blind eye to injustice. When her daughter gains university education in Istanbul in Necla, her family moves to Istanbul, to an old mansion of their own. Leyla’s university preparation course and the school expenses of Necla and Ayşe put the family in trouble and Ali Rıza Bey starts working again. He resigns again when he is asked to compromise his principles in his new job.
As the conditions are more difficult now, the mother Hayriye Hanım does not support her husband’s decision to quit and unrest begins at home. Ali Rıza Bey’s burden eased when Şevket returned from the military began to work in a bank. But Şevket loses his heart to Ferhunde, a married woman, and Ferhunde takes over the reins in a short time and changes the whole order of the house. With Oğuz’s sneaking into the family, things slowly get worse. Again, Ferhunde’s endless plays, Sevket’s submission to his wife’s wishes, Leyla and Necla’s behavior, Hayriye’s inability to manage the house put the family in a difficult position. Although Ali Rıza Bey tried to resist all that happened, “Leaf Cast”, which he was destined to watch until the end of his life, has now started.

Şebnem Ceceli, who plays Ayşe, the youngest daughter of the house, 5 years old in the TV series Leaf Cast, is now a young girl in her early 20s. Ceceli, who focused on her education after the series, studied law.
