STORY
Two babies born on the same day in the same hospital are hospitalized side by side due to the low number of beds. The babies, who were cradled with the words of their families saying “they found each other as soon as they were born”, take their names from the legendary lovers Leylâ and Mecnun. 25 years pass. One morning his family tells Mecnun about the situation and they go to ask Leyla.
Although Mecnun is uncomfortable with this situation at first, he falls in love as soon as he sees Leyla. Mecnun, who does not know what to do to impress him, sees the clumsy grandfather one night in a dream. Things get complicated when the Aksakallı Grandfather emerges from his dreams and starts living with Mecnun. Mecnun loses Leyla in a traffic accident. Mecnun, who cannot accept this situation, does not speak to anyone for 1 year.
He then learns that Leyla’s organs have been donated. In pursuit of this, Mecnun meets Şirin, who takes Leyla’s heart and Sedef, who takes her liver.
On the one hand, there is the cultured and knowledgeable Sirin, and on the other, Sedef, who is a courier and is like himself. Mecnun alternates between the two, but cannot be happy with either.
Sedef and Şirin leave the neighborhood. After going to the deserts after Leyla’s, Mecnun falls in love with Leyla, daughter of Ömer, an old friend of his father.

Even tours were organized by young viewers for the series shot in Sarıyer in Istanbul.
The best known scenes of the series are Kireçburnu beach where İsmail and Mecnun waved to each other on the beach. The 3rd Bosphorus Bridge (Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge), which is not included in the current scene of the greeting place on Haydar Aliyev street, is noteworthy. The cafe where Mecnun takes all Leyla, formerly Biba Cafe, is also within the borders of Kireçburnu.
Erdal Bakkal is located on 2nd Alakır Street in Kireçburnu.
The house of Erdal Bakkal is located on the upper floor of the grocery store as in the series. The famous bank where Yavuz reads poetry to girls can be seen at Kireçburnu beach. In the place imagined as Leyla’s father Metin’s country, high walls enlivened the mysterious atmosphere of Metonia. The famous Metonian country of the series was no other than Yedikule Dungeons, but all the Metonian scenes were shot in the dungeons.
