OVERALL IMPRESSION:
The drama-genre Ömre Bedel series broke rating records during its release and left its mark on the screens for 2 seasons. The series, which started out with the slogan “Does love forgive everything?”, Is mostly for the audience, is it love? Will it prevail, or is it greed for revenge? left in a dilemma.
STORY:
The story takes place on the Kilis-Istanbul line. Cesur, the son of a rich family from Kilis, suffers a great pain the night he gets married and his heart burns with the fire of vengeance. He swears revenge. The person he will take revenge on is actually the most innocent of the story, Ömür, the sister of the girl he married. Life will painfully pay the price of revenge. Cesur Göçer (Murat Han), son of the prominent Göçer family of Kilis, falls in love with İlknur (Özlem Conker), the daughter of a modest family. Although Cesur Ağa started the preparations for marriage, İlknur has someone else in his heart.
On the night of their marriage, when İlknur tells him that she does not love him and that she does not want to be together, Cesur goes crazy. A gunshot is heard and the next day it spreads around where the young woman committed suicide.
In the face of this situation, the notables of the region want to apply the custom and choose İlknur’s painful sister Ömür (Begüm Bingören) as the new wife of Cesur Ağa. Never accepting this coercion, Ömür takes shelter in the Soykan family. Erdem (Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu), the son of this family, takes care of everything to protect Ömür, whom he likes, from the ceremony and Cesur Ağa.

The shooting of the TV series Ömre Bedel was made in Kilis and Istanbul. The villa where Soykan family lived when the series was broadcast caught the attention of the audience. The district where the villa is located became a curiosity. The house used in the series, where the ‘Ömür’ character goes as a bride, belongs to Hülya Avşar. Many scenes of the series were shot in Avşar’s 4-storey villa in Sarıyer Büyükdere.
