Arif Pişkin is one of the leading actors of the TV series Barbaros Hayreddin Sultanın Fermanı, which is broadcast on TRT1 screen on Friday evenings. The master actor plays Suleiman the Magnificent, who is considered one of the most important rulers of the Ottoman Empire, in the story of the series.
Speaking about the series at the event he attended, Arif Pişkin emphasized that Barbaros Hayreddin should be considered as another project, although it is the continuation of the TV series project called Barbaroslar Akdeniz’in Kılıcı, which was broadcast last season.
The actor said, “The story is historically the same, but it has a completely different story. I’m trying to play Suleiman the Magnificent. It was one of the most difficult roles for me. It would be a lie if I said that I had no difficulty in portraying such a magnificent and great character.”
Arif Pişkin, who is one of the most striking names in the Barbaros Hayreddin series with his strong voice and stance, is making an intense effort for the role. Although the ratings of the series are well below expectations, there is also a large audience that wants to follow the story since last season.
Arif Pişkin explained that everything was fine on the set and stated that what he should do about the character is now clearer.
